I am reviewing this as I’m using it for the first time. Please disregard the black sock I modified to wear inside an ankle brace. I left it on so the ice pack was not directly against my skin. I’m delighted with not only its cooling, but the comfort and ease of use. It was more expensive than many others sold, but well worth the money spent. I’ll get many hours of use with it. I gave these a 4 because I think the product photo is a tiny bit misleading. These were frozen and it's too cold to wear straight on your skin. I wear a size 8 women's and these may not fit someone with big feet/ankles. If the plastic edging hits your skin wrong it's uncomfortable. And frozen, these don't bend easily around ankle. I think they will serve their purpose and I've been wearing them on top of having socks on as I type this review! ... show more

I used them but they're awkward to use if you have arthritic hands. Very strong velcro and a struggle for me to remove. They also do not stay cold very long.

I’m 10 weeks post op and wish I purchased these earlier. Still need to ice and elevation for swelling, but also at this point am mobile, so can walk about and still have this on. Takes two seconds to put on and doesn’t fall off while mobile like my other ice packs. Very durable as well. It gives me a good 15-20 minutes before losing coolness, hence why it’s nice to have at least two. Dont place on bare skin. ... show more

The product seemed reasonably soft and supple, even after spending time in the freezer-my only real complaint was having to consult the Picture on the box every time I put them on and I still don’t think I had them on correctly- they did stay nice and cold to help reduce my ankle swelling
