I bought this 2/2025 for my RV as I take sealed foods and need to reseal them on the trip. It's compact size is a bonus for me in the RV and it seals well. You have to push it down HARD to lock it to get ready to seal, but the lock and seal worked well. It takes longer to vacuum out the air than the FoodSaver I have at home, but gets the job done. I like that it has the container sealer attachment included, but have not tried that yet. I would recommend this. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The machine is easy to use and works well so far (just tried it out today). Nice that they have a video to show how to use it, that was very helpful. Only downside was the bag cutter - it's Totally useless! Doesn't cut well at all, left a ragged end on the bag. But the machine works well. Just a bit confused on the setting for bag thickness so we left it on the default "medium" ... show more

finally got to use the vacuum sealer for multiple types of food and it worked flawlessly on all of them. time will tell if the vacuum stays but so far after a week it is still holding . I used it for regular foods going in the freezer and for short term freeze dried food without an oxygen absorber as a test . The bags supplied are mediums so you can judge from how they work what to reorder. I had to order an accessory package from Amazon to be able to use the vacuum hose supplied on other types of sealable jars . The price point did not hurt either. My husband and I don't have anyone else in our household, but we like to get our veggies and meats at Costco due to pricing and quality - but it all comes with wayyy too much of everything for us to eat before it rots even when frozen in Ziplocks. I got this vacuum sealer on sale, but honestly, I would suggest this at normal price, too! It is SO beginner user friendly, it is extremely quick, and it has multiple functions! It can vacuum seal, seal plastic baggies and sheets, cut the plastic baggies/sheets and re-seal them, and it even comes with an attachment to vacuum seal jars! The design is a little dated, but that's okay - it is going to stay in my cupboard whenever it's not in use, so that doesn't really matter. Cleaning it is also very straightforward: wait for the sealing band/rod to cool after your final use, and wipe the inside down with a paper towel. I was anxious to get this new toy. It is pretty and well made. I have another one which is made by food saver. In comparison to my food saver vacuum sealer this one does not cut it for me. It hardly sucks out all the air but it does seal it completely. I used it on the pulse vacuum setting and it only did half of what I needed to be done. I used it on wet, dry, and moist foods. No matter what I was vacuuming, it didn't get all the air out before sealing it. The suction is very poor. I have read the reviews and did my research before purchasing this vacuum sealer and I can not understand how this can get 5 stars, unless I got one that may be a bit defective. To sum it all up, you get what you pay for! I'm not blown away and not entirely disappointed either. I will say this. It's better than just using zip lock bags for freezer storage. It's too early to say it's durable being that I've only had it for a few days. ... show more

I have waited a bit to review this because there is a learning curve to success. The first time I used it the seal on my egg bites was short-lived. Within an hour air had entered the package. However, I have found that if I double seal the item (2 places) the seal works fine. Pulling back a half inch and sealing a second time isn't much extra effort. Now that I know this trick, I am quite pleased with this sealing machine. It is easy to use, and fairly quick. I purchased more bags here on Amazon and they work just as well as the originals that came with this. ... show more
