Purchased this as a used Amazon product. It works perfect and came in original box, but it still had remnants of crumbs and cooking oil from whomever used and returned it to Amazon. I cleaned it up, and knew it was used, but I’m not accustomed to Amazon sending products they haven’t checked and cleaned up themselves. I bought the Taco Tuesday Deluxe 10-inch 6-Wedge Electric Quesadilla Maker a while back, and it has qu become a favorite item in my kitchen. This quesadilla maker is great for our Taco Tuesdays or any day when I want to make homemade quesadillas. I like that it is safe for even a teenager to use:) The 10-inch size is perfect for making generously sized quesadillas, and the 6-wedge design ensures even cooking and easy serving when we have family dinners and want something good and fast. It's incredibly easy to use – just fill your tortilla with your favorite ingredients, close the lid, and within a couple of minutes, you have a perfectly cooked quesadilla. The non-stick surface is great and it makes cleanup very easy. I like a lot of cheese on my quesadilla and when I use this product the cheese does not stick or get too hot. I ended up returning this appliance....I expected to get a nice crispy taco bowl. I wiped the unit with a soft towel as instructed, wiped on a light coating of cooking spray (sprayed Pam onto a paper towel) again as instructed. I heated the unit for 3 minutes according to the manual instructions. My flour tortillas (Mission brand) were too large, so I cut them down to 8 inches.... 1st issue... it is hard to keep the tortilla centered when putting the top/lid/ cover down... every single one slid to the side and folded over the edge of the bowl/form. I cooked the first tortilla for the 3 minutes suggested in the instructions... it was still a little floppy so I let it go 2 more minutes. It came out sort of crispy-chewy and was hard to tear apart.... not the break apart crispy that one associates with a taco bowl. The 2nd tortilla I tries was a 6 in corn tortilla... I let it go 5 minutes... mostly rubbery when I took it out and definitely not crispy. Next tortilla... I lightly sprayed with cooking spray on both sides thinking the extra oil would help with the crispiness and cooked it for 5 minutes... crispy-ish in spots and not crispy in others... End result... a total disappointment. I finally tried the 2 metal bowl method (using taco bowl forms I had purchase years ago) and the air-fryer... and got the nice crunchy tortilla bowl you see in the photo. ... show more

Easy to use! I don’t use the timer light, it’s not long enough for me personally. I prefer keeping my flour tortilla shells in for a total of 6-7 minutes, which is longer than the built in timer light which is 1-3 minutes. Makes it crispy enough to break off and dip into the taco salad :)!

I have to say I didn't expect much out this - but it totally worked great! Spray with a little oil, put the tortilla shell into the pan and close. It takes about 12-15 minutes to get a really good and crispy one. Maybe a tiny bit longer with the keto tortillas. Laugh as you might, but I actually love this thing! I made a few ahead and warmed them in the oven so we could have several people making taco salads at once. It's just fun and effective. I do recommend this if you like taco salad shells! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. For the cost, it’s a great product. I wanted to have a tortilla press because I eat alot of ground venison, bison, and beef very frequently in different forms for easy and lazy meal prepping. This grill saves me dishes and adds the benefit of a nice crunchy tortilla bowl for additional easy carbs. Feeling a breakfast bowl? Sure, scramble some eggs throw some vegetables in it and bam you have a super easy nutritious meal. The versatility of this product is only limited by your imagination. Throw whatever vaguely South American spices in a pan over some ground meat and throw it in one of the tortilla shells that took two minutes to make with some cheese, Greek yoghurt, and vegetables and you’ll feel like your having taco Tuesday. I enjoy the product, but I suspect the hinges may not last forever. You pay for what you get as far as the manufacturing build quality goes, but it’s inexpensive and good enough to probably last for years as long as you take care of it. I think this product would make for a great gift for the lazy cook in your life who doesn’t enjoy meal planning or wants low effort consistency to track their macros with. ... show more
