The media could not be loaded. This is my second time buying an Inkbird vacuum food sealer. I bought my first one back in 2021 and it's been rock solid and never given me any problems. This one went on sale and it has a few extra features on it compared to the older one, so I figured I'd buy it. Very happy with this new model. Sealing time is much quicker. It also has built in bag storage which is super convenient. I primarily use this for food. Getting a nice steak and pouring a little olive oil on it with just the right amount of salt and pepper, then seal it with this vacuum sealer. Let it cook in a sous vide for most of the day. Take it out of the bag and sear the steak on a super hot grill. Tastes amazing. Vacuum sealer is also great for saving leftovers. Say you spend all day smoking a pork shoulder, shred up the meat. Obviously eat some for dinner, but throw the leftovers in a plastic bag and vacuum seal it with this sealer. Throw it in the fridge if you want to eat it within the next few days. Or if you want to save it for later, throw it in the freezer. Vacuum sealing makes it last a long time and when you go to thaw it out, it tastes pretty darn fresh. And no freezer burns! The video and pictures I posted are of some flank steak I cut up to marinade for some carne asada tacos. Just put the bag in place, press the "moist" button and the air is vacuumed out and bag is sealed within seconds. I've bought multiple Inkbird products from BBQ thermometers, to food/drink smokers and have enjoyed all of their products. They are affordable and well made.     • Great Countertop Vacuum Sealer
I have been impressed with all the Inkbird items I have purchased and have found they have great customer service. I was looking to purchase a vacuum sealer to be able to break down larger quantity purchases of food items (dry and frozen). Many of the commercial vacuum sealers do a great job but are expensive, loud and take up a lot of space. The Inkbird vacuum sealer is a good price, the perfect size to fit on my countertop but is portable enough to fit in my pantry while not having an annoying sound while vacuum sealing. The sealer arrived nicely packaged and I could tell each of the features was well thought out, and easy to use for the consumer. I was impressed the roll of vacuum sealing film came pre-loaded into the machine and several pre-made bags are included to try different bag options prior to purchasing larger quantities. Also included are extra cushions for the vacuum chamber for when they wear out. I did have difficulty creating a proper seal at first but quickly discovered it was user error as I was not pushing the top down enough to lock the tabs on each side. Once this was corrected, I started sealing different sized bags to determine the best setup for vacuum sealing. I even sealed a bag of water to check seal quality and was impressed with the results. My next step is to start exploring Sous Vide cooking using my Inkbird Vacuum Sealer. I am happy to see Inkbird sells Sous Vide Machines as well. :-) I do not have experience with canister sealing but the unit also includes a vacuum hose to seal canisters. I would definitely recommend this product to others as the size, features and price are nice for a quality vacuum sealer. ... show more

    • Beware of a bargain
Approximately a year after purchasing this unit, sadly, it has failed on several points. 1) Working parts. Although it did come with replacement pieces to ensure a good seal, reinstalling them after cleaning is a hassle. The original foam seals were appropriate to the channels, but the replacement foam pieces were mis-sized and required trimming to install properly 2) Tubing attachment for alternative sealing: Specifically for dry good or mason jar food prepping is tragic. The vacuum specifics needed for sealing was inadequate due to the circumstance of the tubing. I eventually resorted to modifying tubing and attachments with the addition of masking tape to improve suction 3) Longevity: I purchased this unit last January 2024, and have used it once a month for meal prepping, and the unit has consistently lost suction, gotten louder, and the required longer and more frequent breaks between uses every time I used it. Having a better knowledge and understanding of the process through trial and error, I would NOT recommend purchasing this brand if your interested in this food preservation method. I would also advise doing additional independent research on purchasing vacuum sealers on reputable unbiased or unaffiliated websites or through community engagement of like minded people that can give real time experience and advice. ... show more
