I hardly EVER leave reviews, but this dehydrator is amazing. The recipes in the book are delicious, the quick guides with time, temps and basic instructions are sooo helpful. Nothing I have dehydrated sticks to the trays provided, they just rinse clean. My kids eat the cinnamon apple chips like it’s candy. I love this thing! I like this because it is not huge and doesn't take up a lot of space. I only do smaller batches for one or two people anyways. I have used it twice already and made sun dried tomatoes one time and banana and apple chips the second time. I am very satisfied with the quality and its ease of function. It is very easy to add or subtract time, or readjust the temperature when using the four "auto" set buttons. It seems well made and looks attractive for an appliance. I like the stainless steel trays and metal (not plastic) housing. Above all it is not very loud...pretty quiet and just hear a unobtrusive fan blowing. ... show more

This is my first food dehydrator. I researched different brands/styles and didn't want anything with a lot of plastic. The dehydrator fits the bill with metal exterior and food trays. It is small - five trays - but is perfect for my needs. I keep jerky around for a quick protein snack, but the price of jerky is too high for the small quantity the consumer gets and most of the commercial jerky products contain sugar. I have been making my own beef jerky without all of the chemicals and sugar. Another favorite is bacon jerky, I have made several batches of that and it is fantastic. Everything I've made in it turns out perfect. The dehydrator is very quiet and easy to clean. The trays are dishwasher safe, but I prefer to soak and handwash them. I highly recommend this COSORI food dehydrator to anybody that needs a small, efficient dehydrator. I have found the quality of COSORI products to be excellent. ... show more

This is a great dehydrator! As a Powersports dealer rep, I was buying a lot of jerky for the road. I’m a proficient cook so I thought why not make my own jerky. This thing makes it so easy! Plenty of room for big batches, set n’ forget controls, SUPER quiet, easy to clean, nice “cookbook” included, etc. I was storing it in the pantry between uses, but we use it so much it earned a spot buy her coffee maker. The only “ding”, and it is minuscule, is I wish the display light turned off when it isn’t running. My wife now wants to start doing fruit as well. Bang for the buck: 10/10! ... show more

Years ago, I bought a dehydrator that had circular, plastic trays. It was very difficult to clean, and it was cheaply built. The Cosori dehydrator not only works great, it looks good on my countertop. It is also easy to clean. I wipe it out, and I put the trays in the dishwasher.
