  • Best bang for the buck ever
I am addicted to Greek yogurt mixes. I would get a tub of Fage and take half out, add a half cup of oatmeal, half a cup of blueberries, and a tablespoon of chia seeds. $7 a tub for Fage. That adds up over time. I saw this product on a thread from Twitter. The founder of this had it weaved into a thread about health. I found his marketing for this extremely smart. The video looked pretty easy to do. I bought a 2 quart container of half and half for about $3.80. I bought probiotic capsules. I poured half of the half and half in one bowl, the rest in the second. Had a capsule of probiotic emptied into each bowl. I put it to 100 degrees for 36 hours. Came out perfect. Put it on the fridge overnight. It has a somewhat picante flavor, perhaps from my probiotics. Letting it in the fridge overnight made it more solid. The next morning, I took the two bowls and transferred the contents to 4 tubs where I made my oatmeal mixes. Absolutely terrific. A $3.80 two quart makes 2 big bowls, which each were a tub of fage in size. That is a $14 retail cost. I have now made 4 batches. It is essentially a tool that takes water to a specific temperature and holds it there. Works extremely well. I did try this with milk, and it came out more runny. Milk would be a less expensive way to go and the chia seeds might be able to make it more solid. But I prefer the consistency of the half and half product. I also tried with a nut milk for my wife. That was kind of a disaster. If anyone has any good means of doing this with a silk type of almond milk, please let me know. I couldn’t find much out there on it. That would be my only real knock on this is that the product claims you can make Greek yogurt with nut milk but there’s no recipe or means of explaining it to a noob with the product docs. ... show more

  • Simple, elegant design that works perfectly. Reminds me of my first iPhone experience
Material Type: With Eight Jars (6oz)
I love simplicity and things that work well particularly if it is health related. This is it. Reminds me of the simple elegance and performance of my first iPhone. I have made three batches of probiotic (3 types) yogurt using organic half and half and inulin per the recipe included. No sugar, nothing else added. Used the included 8 glass jars and I bought two 1 quart glass jars. Each time at 99 degrees (F) and 36 hours, they have turned out perfect (for me). The taste is incredibly simple with a very mild subtle sour cream flavor which I like very much. Clean ingredients, clean machine and clean probiotic yogurt…I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great yogurt maker. Easy to use, effective and holds temp.
Material Type: With Eight Jars (6oz)
The media could not be loaded. I've had IBS, SIBO, and IMO for decades. Using Dr. Google for the last few months meant I finally ended up on the CarnivoreDietCoach.com website and found he has gone through the same problem and come out healthy enough to eat fruit and other foods, not just meat. So his suggestion was to go carnivore for a week to put IBS in hibernation, then use trillions of CFU's of Lactobacillus Gasseri, Lactobacillus Reuteri to rebuild my gut biome and also to kill off the SIBO with trillions of CFU's of Bacillus Coagulans at the same time. Since the best pills have 5 or 6 billion CFU's of each product that meant making yogurt. Using the 5 billion CFU pills in this machine for 36 hours allows the CFU's to double every 3 hours or 12 times. Thus the 5 or 6 billion CFU's become roughly 10 trillion CFU's in 36 hours less whatever die-off is going on. Apparently, after 36 hours they die off faster than they grow. Then I put the yogurt in the fridge and use it over a week or so. This yogurt maker works great and stayed within 2 degrees F of the requested temperature every time I tested it over a 36-hour run. The yogurt came out very tasty (almost hard to stop eating it). I bought the 2 extra containers to be able to make a 2nd batch while finishing the first batch and thus never running out. The hardest part was realizing I really did have to sterilize the lids and containers as well as the spoon, whip and mixing container to avoid contamination. I have no complaints. Some have complained about no minutes shown on the timer, but I don't care. When it's done it shuts off. It needs to cool on the counter for 2 hours +/- anyway so that doesn't bother me at all. Some complain about a difficult program entry system. I went through that on the attached video and I think it's very simple. I had no problems with it on the 1st batch and remembered it easily for the 2nd batch. It says it has a Lifetime Warranty, for whatever that is worth, if you submit it. I think the protocol mentioned above originally came from Dr. William Davis' Book "Super Gut" I hope this helps some of you all. ... show more

  • Love this!
Material Type: With Eight Jars (6oz)
I needed to start making yogurt for my husband. This has been easy and reliable to use. I have already made at least 15 batches and am getting consistent results with yogurt of various strains. The size produces a good amount and the design looks nice in my kitchen along with my brushed nickel appliances. ... show more

  • Makes fantastic yogurt
Material Type: With Eight 6oz Jars
We have been using this to make the L. Reuteri yogurt. It’s the only yogurt maker we could find that has the 36 hour timer that’s necessary for the culture to develop. The temp control is accurate and being able to make the individual size servings in the small glass jars is really convenient. Just pop on the lids and refrigerate. We like to eat this just when it first is done and still slightly warm with a handful of blueberries. ... show more
