I bought this chair for the desk in my bedroom. It is perfectly sized for a small space, and the dark blue fabric is super pretty. It suits my needs just fine, overall. However, one of the screws on one of the arms doesn't go in all the way, so that arm may fall off in time. If that happens, I think I'll just use the chair without the arms. Poor quality control is pretty much expected when you buy any piece of put-it-together-yourself furniture, as it has somehow become not just acceptable but routine for companies to throw parts randomly in a box with the vague hope that they fit together. But it's still always a little disappointing. Still, if you're willing to bear that possibility, it is a cute chair and it won't overwhelm a small desk or room. ... show more

two months in and i’m pretty happy! beautiful design, easy for me to assemble myself, and most importantly—comfortable and supportive enough to sit in for a full workday. for reference, i’m 5’5 and 115lbs. worth noting that the gray fabric is not a textured weave like the pictures show. it’s definitely a synthetic poly-blend that’s soft/smooth to the touch. totally fine, but i was hoping for the woven feel. ... show more

I work from home and have been using this chair 5 days a week since 2021 - it's perfect! It's adjustable, comfortable, and the material is durable and still looks great after 2 years. I am 5'10" and the size of the chair (both overall height and the width of the seat) are perfect. I generally keep the arms off of the chair because I like to tuck one or both legs underneath myself, and I very frequently go back and forth between having the back locked in position or open to rocking back and forth. I have been looking for a nicer office chair for some time. I had looked at the big box office supply stores (and other places as well), and was not able to find a chair that was both comfortable and well built. I was also unwilling to spend $3k on a Herman Miller office chair. Enter the SOHO Mid Century Modern Soft Pad Management chair. A virtual replica of the Eames Soft Pad chair at almost 1/10 the price? This HAD to be too good to be true. The quality and comfort can’t be there, right? WRONG. This chair is VERY well built. No wobbles, no odd noises, no bad smell or off-gassing. The design is true to the Eames chair (except for the tension for the recline, which I think is better on the SOHO). The seating surface is suspended between two solid frame rails; even if the padding breaks down over time you won’t find yourself sitting on hard plastic, but rather suspended on a hammock of sturdy cloth that still gives and supports. The chair came very well packaged, and was easy to assemble. Out of curiosity, I called the technical support line to see if the arms were required for structural integrity; according to the customer representative I spoke with, they aren’t. I installed them anyway, but good to know it is optional. Speaking of their support staff - I actually reached a HUMAN BEING; no menus or IVRs. Literally called a number and got a person. The support staff is super nice as well. Overall I have zero regrets purchasing this chair. It is better than any office chairs in the box stores that I sat in that were the same price point, and the comfort and style is on-par with the Eames chair that it payed homage to. One note - comfort is a very personal and subjective matter; this chair may not work for everyone (much like any other chair). For me, I decided it was worth trying out sight unseen (or un-sat) - I do NOT regret it whatsoever. Thanks to the folks at Laura Davidson furniture for a great product at a good price! ... show more
