I honestly don’t understand how this chair has a 4.2-star rating. I’ve had it for almost two years now, and it’s still going strong. It’s lasted way longer than a Walmart office chair that looked almost identical, which only lasted a few months before falling apart. The Amazon Basics Classic Puresoft PU Padded Mid-Back Office Chair is comfortable, easy to assemble, and offers great support. The height adjustability is smooth, and the padding is still just as comfortable as when I first got it. For the price 75$ the chair is not bad but not great. Putting it together was pretty simple took probably 15-25 minutes once getting everything out of the box and the back of the backrest. I used my own tools as the little Allen Key would not of been fun as some of the bolts were a bit sticky going in. My only real CON to me is the arm rest are very short and i'm not a very tall person. I think if they were about 2-3 inches taller the chair would be a great buy for the cost but since they're not id say its a good buy not quite great. For 75$ it's solid for its cheap material and cushion any more than that you'd be better off buying something actually good with adjustability and superior materials. ... show more

I am 230 lbs, 6ft tall and 71 years old. This chair fits me great. Very comfortable and Very Sturdy. Pacakged Great. Assembly not hard. That said, I don't have to spend 8 hrs a day at work in it. However I spend considerable time on Computer and Gaming Steam Games. It is much better than the chair I had even when it was new. Each to his own but I like it a lot. Great Value...although had I ordered it today it is on sale. Karma's a bitch. Still worth what I paid. ... show more

    • Good office chair but hard to put together

PROs: The office chair looks nice when we finally put it together. It seems to be a normal office chair size. Everything works as designed, including the pump to change the chair height. Chair came with all needed parts and screws. Vinyl fabric appears to be easy to keep clean and it rolls easily. Assembled chair appears to be sturdy. CONs: However, putting it together was a nightmare. First, you need 2 people to put it together which was unknown when my husband started this project. Second, most of the directions are illustrations only which do not explain which order to place the screws. Unbeknownst by my husband, you needed to assemble this chair in the correct screw order or you won't be able to screw in all needed screws. My husband needed to unscrew several screws and change the order in which he screwed the back and seat together in order to put this chair together making him very frustrated. There were no explanations that warned you of this fact. Moreover, I find the seat a bit too hard for my rear. I will need to purchase a chair pad to make this chair useful as an office chair. OVERALL: If you are handy at putting items together, this chair is a good bargain at the price point I paid. Be prepare that you will be putting this chair together from scratch as not one part of the chair has been built when you unbox it. ... show more

This chair was easy to put together. Directions were easy to follow. Chair is soft and comfortable. Great buy for the money. Also the packing of the chair and parts were exceptional. I like the way the chair was packed in the box.

I asked ChatGPT for the best chair under $100 and it laughed at me (my ChatGPT is rude). Don't spend less than $150 it said. This chair would not stand up to abuse, but I expect it won't fall apart with me sitting on it. And that's all I want from an $80 chair. I'll update the review if I die.

I really like this desk chair, it was easy to put together and it is very comfortable. Cheap and it works, highly recommend it! Also, if you're a big guy like me, you should be fine as long as you don't exceed the weight limit. If you weigh more than 270 I would recommend getting something sturdier.
