This is a very good chair - especially for the price. You do need to assemble it but it is very easy to do so. The instructions are clear and everything you need to assemble the chair is included. It's not a long process it only has a few steps. It is the most comfortable chair I have tried in this price range. The bottom/cushion is good. I work 11-hour days and most of the time I'm sitting in this chair, and my butt feels fine. Nothing special about it but nothing to complain about either. The back of the chair is curved. It provides decent back support to me. It's better than my old chair so I'm happy. One thing I should mention about this chair is that the chair may not be good for bigger people. I am 5ft 9in and 195lbs. The arm rests on the chair are narrower than other chairs I've tried. I fit fine, I mean my body doesn't touch the arm rests when I sit in it, but just barely. If I were any bigger, I think I would have a problem fitting in the chair. Also, I'm used to just jumping into my old chair. My old chair had arm rests too, but it was wider. I can't really do this very well with this chair. Sometimes my butt hits the armrest, so I have to grab the chair and maneuver it around so I can sit in it. Not that big a deal, but there it is. There is a way around it however. You can just not install the arm rests if you want. Besides that, this chair is a fantastic chair. Exceptional considering the price. After a UPS lost package, my replacement arrived. Carton and contents was packed well. Instruction sheet should be enlarged, but, otherwise, it was easy to assemble, with no additional tools needed. Took about 45 minutes start to finish. Good quality, especially for the price point. Comfortable cushion, and sturdy back support. Bought this chair and it arrived on time, put it together excitedly b/c I had been without a desk chair for a week or so since my old one had bit the dust and was happy to be back to normal. I had it about two days and one of the castors snapped somewhere on the inside so that the wheel stayed in place but you could no longer put any weight on that particular area or the wheel would not support the chair any longer and you would lean enough to fall out easily if you were not ready to catch yourself. I was well within my return period but did not want to go through the hassle of dismantling, repackaging and sending the chair back, and this was mandatory for both of my return options which were a replacement chair or a refund of my money. So, I reached out to the seller via Amazon with fingers crossed and explained the situation and provided them with some photos of the damage. They responded VERY quickly and agreed to my request to just send me a replacement castor so I could replace the broken one. As I had hoped, they did not just send one castor either but a sleeve of five just like you receive when you purchase a chair initially. They also shipped them out quickly and provided me with tracking information. So with minimal back and forth they were very helpful and efficient with correcting my issue, I appreciate their customer service very much. The chair itself is exactly what you would expect from a $40 chair, it could be more comfortable and ergonomic and this and that but it is now stable, provides decent back support and raises/lowers easily. Plus, I have four extra wheels now in case the overall quality of them proves to be an ongoing issues. I have had this for about a month now. I work from home so I am using it 8+ hours a day. There are so pros and cons, but the short of it is that it is a cheap office chair and you definitely get what you pay for. I am about 5'11" 165lbs. This chair sits plenty high and lowers quite a bit. The height of this chair is nice, my desk is pretty tall and most chairs feel to short. The seat cushion is... acceptable if not a little underwhelming. It's fine, I don't feel like I am sitting on the base of the seat after a long day, but it isn't exactly good either. The mesh back is comfortable, but the "lumbar support" is just not good. It's not the shape is terrible or uncomfortable, it makes the seat feel tiny. The depth of the seat cushion is perfect... or it would be, but the seat back's lumbar support comes so far forward that you can't utilize the back 3 or inches of the seat cushion. Those 3 inches make the depth of the seat go from perfect to shallow. The arm rests are the ultimate low. For the price, I don't expect padding, adjustable, or wide armrest. However, these are far to short and quite narrow. The narrow part doesn't bother me personally, but if are a wider person, it will be uncomfortable. The armrest are short enough that they are completely unusable while type on my keyboard or using my mouse. They are also so low that resting your arms on them while using your phone is uncomfortable. That may sound like a lot of bad, but truly for the money it is pretty good. The chair seems sturdy. I don't hurt after a full day of work. The legs have flat tops so it is easy to tuck your feet on them. The chair has no squeaky parts. I can't speak to the casters as I used different ones for the floor I on. Ultimately, for $40 it is exactly what you should expect to get at that price.
