I've gone through many gas grills over the years, & this is the best way to grill indoors. Been using it to make turkey burgers every weekend for over 2 months, & I really like this pan. Food doesn't stick to it, it's solid, easy to clean, & the price was very reasonable. Definitely would recommend it to others. UPDATE: after 1 year, the coating started rubbing off. I replaced this with a Lodge cast iron grill pan. Only thing that could flake off now is olive oil. I doubt that'll negatively affect me. ... show more

For those times you don't want to/ can't fire up the gas or charcoal grill, this is an excellent alternative. We have many other Scanpan products and love them all. Some of the best cookware available, especially for glass top stoves. The grill pan takes slightly longer to heat up because of the extra thickness, but that's to be expected. The grease stays away from the food and is easier to drain into a jar because of the square shape. Slightly tougher to clean because of the ribbed bottom, but the non-stick surface almost makes this a non-issue. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

Great Pan. Use it everyday. Just make sure you have a stiff nylon brush to clean before putting in the dishwasher (stiffer than a normal kitchen sink brush). Typically takes: scrub before dishwasher, dishwasher, then scrub again, then dishwasher. Sounds like a pain, but not so bad, and the deep ridges are perfect for grilling. Does generate a lot of 'smoke', so you'll need a good hood fan. Don't use above medium heat in my experience. ... show more

Great pan. At first glance I thought the ribs were too shallow, but it turns out they are just about perfect for this type of pan. Make sure the pan is up to temperature before placing the food to be grilled. This will ensure that you get good grill marks.

I never used 'teflon" coated pans except for eggs and other foods that did not need to be cooked with high heat. The downside of traditional non-stick cookware is that they cannot withstand the high temperatures needed to caramalize meats. I was skeptical about Scanpan's ability to brown a steak. Well, I'm pleased to finally have the perfect fry pan.....one that will take the heat that my old iron skillet can in order to produce the flavorful crust on a ribeye and still clean up with a few paper towels. ... show more

I might have liked this pan if this one I received. It wasn't, so I returned it and it was stolen before UPS picked it up. To bad for me. However, I am a huge fan and user of Scanpan products. You can not go wrong with these pans!
