This is just awesome. I've not only made omletts but you can fry an egg to perfection. I've also made pizza quesadillas in it. Cleanup is a breeze.

  • Exceeded expectations.
Size: Omelet Color: Stainless Steel and Black
I bought this omelet maker because my grandkids love omelets and mine are a mess. I wasn't expecting it to be as easy to use and clean as it was advertised, but it definitely is. The grandkids can add ingredients to their own omelet to meet their own tastes, and the omelets are cooked perfectly. Clean-up is a breeze. Plus, the appliance makes other treats as well. All in all, this appliance has made my life much easier and my grands and I are enjoying beautiful, fluffy, made-to-order omelets. Love it! ... show more

  • The top is light…
Size: Stuffed Waffle Color: Mint
… and I’m pretty sure that’s why the top doesn’t want to cook/crisp. The bottom comes out beautifully. Reminder: the owner’s manual states to open and close this cooker with heat resistant gloves or similar. They’re not kidding. Be sure your kids follow this instruction, and please don’t let them use it without supervision. Don’t be shy about filling this. Make certain the batter fills the entire cavity, to the very edge of the expansion ring. If it’s not completely covered, it may make it more difficult to remove the waffle once the bottom is cooked. Spread your filling out before you pour in the second layer of batter. It will not spread while cooking. I’m thinking of preparing pre-made discs of cream cheese and whatever filling, to make things even and easier to determine the right amount. I will be experimenting with a number of different types of fillings, and I may update my review. Ultimately, I wish I’d bought the brand name, larger type, and I’ll probably upgrade to that at some point. Update/edit (for a typo and to add a follow up) I’m definitely returning this. I tried a few different things to get the top cooked, and it just didn’t happen. I already bought one made by a different manufacturer. ... show more

  • Great Omelets in just 5-7 minutes!
Size: Omelet Color: Stainless Steel and Black
Ok, I'll admit it: I'm a lazy cook sometimes. So because of that fact, I'm constantly hunting for kitchen gadgets and small appliances, that make cooking dinner super quick and easy for me. Eggs don't really take that long of course, but sometimes my omelets can be hit or miss. Uneven cooking is my usual problem with omelets, and also that they don't always puff up nicely like I want them to. Well, for $20 I thought I'd give this little machine a try, and it paid off. :) I whisked up a couple of eggs, some milk, a little salt and pepper and some cheese, and that made for a quick and tasty omelet! I'm really happy with simple it is to cook with this small appliance. The steps are easy and uncomplicated. I think even people who almost never cook, could pull this off without any trouble. Step One: Spray some cooking spray, like Pam or Crisco, in the top and bottom cooking wells. Step Two: Close the top. Step Three: Plug the machine in. Step Four: Stir up your 2 Large or XL eggs, I add a couple tablespoons of milk (plus cheese, salt, pepper, herbs or spices, some chopped meats and vegetables; whatever you want to add to your personal omelet) Step Five: Wait for the machine's light to turn red. Step Six: Pour the eggs into the cooking wells (don't let it overflow) :) Step Seven: Close the Lid Step Eight: Wait between 5-7 minutes while it cooks, and you'll see when it's pretty much done, that the omelet is puffing up and basically lifting the machine's top up on its own! The omelet should look nice and golden brown, and if you want to test the temperature, a thermometer should read at least 160 degrees. I think I'm going to be using this machine pretty regularly! My next experiment is with some pancake batter, just to see if I can make some fluffy, half moon shaped pancakes. :) Hopefully you'll enjoy using your omelet maker, just as much as I'm enjoying mine! ... show more

  • Good omelettes with adjustments
Size: Omelet Color: Stainless Steel and Black
OK I think I finally figured this machine out. At first, I was underwhelmed by the results. My omelettes were OK, but tended to be somewhat overcooked and burned on the outside. Also, I often has issues with the egg overflowing and spilling out onto the counter as it cooked. Clearly two eggs with some modest filling (some cheese and couple pieces of sausage) was more than this thing could handle. So ultimately my solution was simple. I created my two egg mixture and then split it across the 2 sections, creating a one egg omelette on each side. After letting it cook for about 3-4 minutes and it started to firm up, I flip them and then close the lid for another 1-2 minutes. The result was a much tastier and appropriately cooked omelette inside and out. So ultimately, the extra effort of flipping alongside my now decreased capacity of 1 omelette split into 2 hampers the overall value. However I still find it easier than using the stove and a pan. For $20, still helps me save some time. ... show more
