This product is great, but it's lacking...... I bought this item when it was $50!!! and that's expensive for something like this. Now it's $80!??!?!? Thats ridiculous. Don't get me wrong it's an ok product, but if you don't have a whole lot of spending money don't get this. it works ok, but it has its flaws in how much it costs. Every time I make a ham and cheese it doesn't want to latch like it was made in China. ... show more

I thought about buying a panini press to add to my kitchen appliances and then thought again. Another bulky appliance to take up more space on the counter top, or at best, more space in cabinets that area already over loaded with stuff. Found out the genius folks at Revolution Cooking designed one to fit in their amazing toaster (which I had bought a while back) as an accessory. I did not hesitate to order it. Have been experimenting with different types of breads, cheese, and ham on different toasting shades (my preference is 6 or 7) in this compact, solidly constructed, intelligently designed press that fits in the toaster slot with a secure locking mechanism and cleverly positioned handled. Seriously, a genius space saving design. As I aspire to become a "master toaster", you can't beat the simplicity, elegance, and quality of this panini press accessory that doesn't clog up your counter tops.
