It's like having 2 cast iron frying pans and a dutch oven all in one. It makes sense to buy this for efficient use of space and if the price is less than name brand. The quality is good and it works very well. It fits perfectly in my RV oven because it's not as tall as some dutch ovens but tall enough for baking sourdough bread. I purchased this for my 85 year old mom who loves cooking with cast iron but has limited storage space in her condo. I thought this combo would be ideal for her. It is a nice pan/pot. Big enough to cook a small roast with veggies and other favorites. It’s not as heavy as some other cast iron cookware which is a plus. However, it does have to be seasoned. So due to that fact, it’s a bit more maintenance than I wanted for me mom. Going forward, I think I will stick with Lodge Cast Iron cookware. ... show more

I paid $44.99 (in March 2024) and it was worth every cent. I use it nearly every day. I have several cast iron skillets and cast iron Dutch ovens but this one's my favorite. It doesn't stick. It makes the best roasts. It's great for baking, frying, and grilling. I've made some delicious meals in this Dutch Oven. There are plenty of reviews complaining about rust. That's to be expected for any cast iron product that isn't cared for properly. The good thing is that this product comes with great instructions for proper care. If you read and follow those instructions, you won't have any problems with this product. ... show more
