We were hesitant to purchase bc of the price, but this wok, pot, frying pan, bowl has been the best kitchen utensil purchase we’ve made in a long time. It’s gorgeous, has the perfect weight so as not to be so heavy I dread using it (like LeCreuset) and not light and flimsy like many cheap pots and pans. I absolutely love using this! I’ve been using it every day since we purchased it and bc of the craftsmanship, durability, even cooking and quick clean up we’ve decided to purchase the entire Hexclad set. My husband and I went back & forth with me wanting the 12” and him saying just get the 14”— I gave in and purchased the 14” and I’m so glad I did! I use this as a large bowl as well. It’s gorgeous, functional and truly is high quality. On a side note: we are not Gordon Ramsay fans and my husband was actually annoyed at how much we love this bc he really can’t stand him (I couldn’t care less) — but even my hubby admitted that Ramsay endorses a great product. We’re sorry we didn’t pick up the entire set during their Black Friday sale but we will purchase their largest set as soon as they go on sale again. Really can’t recommend this cookware highly enough. Fabulous! I cannot believe I’m so excited over cookware! Lol! I suddenly feel so old! But if you’re on the fence about this, I strongly recommend buying bc you’ll get a lot of use out of it and it’s a beautifully made, solid piece. ... show more

What I liked about this wok is the fact that it has a cool looking non-stick surface and the weight while not the lightest is lighter than the one it’s replacing (All Clad). I realize carbon is the way to go for that true wok experience but I’ve done that and hate the whole seasoning thing and to be honest never could taste a difference in comparison to a wok that has a non-stick surface. I used the Hex Clad for the first time to cook up some fried rice and man this wok is excellent. Heats up fast, cooks evenly and has the slickest non-stick surface I’ve ever used. LOVE this wok. It’s got a silky smooth finish that nothing sticks to. It heats quickly, and cleans easily by hand or in the dishwasher. It’s awesome that there’s a lifetime warranty and is metal utensil-safe too. Wish all my cookware was hexclad.

So I have been looking for a do everything pan forever now. And for that I have always loved flat bottom stainless steel woks because my old one replaced fry pans, saute pans and sauce pans and even pinched in for a pot some days, great if you want to reduce clutter or have a small kitchen. The only problem is? It doesn't replace a wok. Stir frying takes a lot of oil and you can forget about fried rice, everything sticks and it will take forever to clean. Solution? I been using ceramic woks for the past 6 years or so which has the benefit of slight non stick properties and you can still make saucy dishes or acid dishes without the fuss of carbon steel. Down side? It doesn't go in the oven you need to transfer stuff to a sheet tray or still have a stainless steel one lying around, heat distribution on the ceramic is still less desirable when it comes to searing and you need to replace it every year or 2. So the idea that this might check all the boxes seemed appealing enough to splash for it as respectable triple ply stainless steel woks cost about the same price. Had it for a while now and cooked with it almost every single day and the verdict? It is okay. I solves some of my issues with stainless woks, it needs less oil for stir frying and I can throw it in the oven, cleaning it is fairly easy and from other owners' review it is supposed to be fairly durable. Down side to the wok, it is a little on the heavy side, it is a little too shallow for a wok and I still can't make fried rice with it, it sticks too much. It seems I still need a ceramic wok.     • OMG, I love this wok!
This is a truly wonderful wok. Its fast and even heat distribution makes cooking fun, and I've never encountered anything that is easier to clean than the HexClad hybrid surface. And it looks amazing enough that I just keep it on the stove instead of in a cabinet, to show it off. I got the 10" wok, and I love it, but if I had it to do it over again, I would order the 12" just to have a little more room for fun wokking (and also to have that extra handle). My next HexClad purchase will be a skillet (a.k.a. fry pan) because my old skillet just seems ugly and depressing now that I know how amazing it should be.
