This thing is just flat out awesome. It’s the MacBook Pro of music production computers. The Sony OLED of TV’s. The Porsche 911 of supercars. It’s just flat out refined, attractive and all around premium. Weight seems easy to handle and control. Like it’s more balanced, I don’t know how it stacks up in actual weight. I go by feel. (Go do curls if it’s too heavy). It heats up fast, oil glides on it and distributes effortlessly. It creates a phenomenal sear on a steak, and using a metal spoon to baste has not caused any visible marks or abrasions. I haven’t had it long, but I do know to definitely season it. This thing needs to be taken care of, and I bet it will take care of you for a long time. I registered the warranty immediately before firing it up. It’s just fantastic. Worth every penny. Thanks Gordon Ramsey for the recommendation. I can’t imagine what his accreditation is though. ... show more

This is the best pan I have ever used hands down. I’ve used it a dozen times already and it is definitely non stick. Super easy clean up. It is pricy and a bit heavier than what I’m used to but I can easily overlook the weight. Will wait for a sale to buy additional hexclad products. I am in love

my pans were dying and burning, cheap pans, so i opted to spend some money and getting this one since the reviews of Hexclad were mostly positive. i opted for this one since it was big so it could handle small and large cooking needs. i was expecting it to be completely nonstick like a ceramic pan, and was somewhat dissapointed that it wasnt, but that quickly went away. first thing i cooked was some eggs, and although they didnt stick to the pan horrible, they did stick a little, mind you i was expecting it to be non stick like a ceramic pan where literally nothing sticks. but then i cooked some porkchops, and on my old pans, the pork chops would stick, and chicken would stick, but not in this one, i noticed that the porkchops and chicken was not sticking, so its partially non-stick, which is a tradeoff considering that you can use metal utensils on it and scubbers to clean it, which is a big no no when dealing with ceramic pans. the greatest benefit of this pan is the lid, its big and raised, and makes for a great roaster since the lid is oven safe to 400 degrees, i roasted a whole chicken in it in the oven and the lid covered it perfectly fine and i roasted a ham on the bone in the oven and the lid covered that just fine too. this has made my specialty roaster pan and aluminum foil nearly obsolete. its also nice that i can throw a pot roast on it and sear it on the stovetop and then transfer it to the oven to broil, all in one pan. my son in law uses this pan exclusively to cook everything he cooks, from large meals to simple things such as 2 eggs and some bacon, even though we have smaller pans for that purpose. after having this for a month, i turned around and bought a set of other hexclad pans of smaller sized for other cooking needs. ... show more

I have tried a dozen or more non-stick small skillets and this is the far-and-away winner. Yes, it may be twice the price of others, or more, but the non-stick is real and the power use is far less. It cooks at lower temps and cleans with a paper towel, leaving it ready for the next course you want to cook. And believe them: do not use high heat except for a minute to sear a steak. Otherwise, low or medium low is fine and effective. A great product and I go mine (with the lid) on sale from Amazon and jumped at the deal about $30 less than normal. I really like the size, design, and sturdiness of the pan. It's relatively non-stick, when used right, without the harmful substances of other brands. But, it's shallower than I realized given the size. We'll see how well it wears over time, but all-in-all I'm glad I bought it and I'll almost certainly buy more from this brand. ... show more
