I couldn’t for the life of me find something appealing without the NIU brand, so I got the k3max I haven’t gotten to ride it yet because it’s been raining non-stop, but this one seems to be very good out of the box. Like the disc breakers, they are solid and done correctly. My NIU Air was a complete nightmare and cost more than this. Good, solid, sturdy build. I got it on sale for what I believe a good deal. The only thing I don’t like is NIU customer service. When you email them for help, they just respond with the same question, like about the stem cable. I wouldn’t have power if the stem cable wasn’t plugged in. On the k3 max I was having problems binding to the app and registering the scooter. The app kept finding the scooter, but it would alway say failed. Did you move too far away? At the end of the day, I just took a clear photo of the sticker on the side and ran it through Google Lens and copy-pasted manually, and it worked. Will update when I actually get to ride this thing. Obviously heavier than the Air scooter, but it’s doable. Finally got to ride it for a couple of days. It’s an alright scooter, enjoyable to ride, just bad if you live in a city with bad roads and side walks. It’s kinda bumpy. I wouldn’t want to hit something going fast. I should have gotten the NIU 300x, but it cost more money. But it’s almost the same thing with suspension.:( If you live in a nice, maintained city with good roads, this will be a good buy if you can get it on sale. ... show more

I bought this for my 14 year old daughter. It’s fun to ride, it has a great design, it’s very functional and comfortable to ride. She weighs about 135 lbs and the range of speed is great! It is a heavy duty scooter!

The 100p scooter at $250 is an unbelievably good deal. It is extremely high quality for the price, feeling very sturdy. It has a basic headlight which doesn't illuminate much but makes you more visible in the dark, which is enough for well-lit cities. Battery life is not so good if you have a longer commute; in the freezing winter I could not get more than 6-8 miles out of it. When it warmed up I was able to get closer to 10 while going close to top speed. I really like the regen breaking as a way to smoothly stop without having to press the brake. The media could not be loaded. his is an updated review after 2 months. My original review after 2 weeks is below. The scooter's battery failed after 2 months. Additionally, there are several flaws with this design that were not apparent at the beginning of ownership. The handle bar throttle is jerky and basically only has one setting: on or off. The regenerative feature makes the scooter unstable. The bell is not loud enough for traffic. DO NOT BUY Pros: Good suspension The handlebars are high up The app is easy to use The charger is small and easy to plug in Cons: The manual is confusing because it’s for all models. It says there are features like sport mode which this unit does not have. There are turn signals but the switches don’t work Biggest flaw: the deck is TINY and it is unstable for an adult to ride. I have size 10 feet and I cannot put them front to back on this deck. Also the deck feels flimsy and it’s too easy to accidentally step on the rear fender ... show more

I bought this for my 18-year-old grandson to get back-and-forth to work. He is very excited with it as it is easy to maneuver and has added a couple of safety pieces to it such as an extra light, a phone holder, and his helmet.
