My son has an electric scooter that he loves and it looked like so much fun I decided to get one. We love the GoTrax brand and love their customer service so I knew that I couldn’t go wrong with one of their scooters. The scooter arrived safely packaged and in perfect condition. It comes mostly assembled and only took a few minutes to finish putting together. Once it was charged I immediately took it out for a ride. We have a local trail that my kids love to ride on and I was excited to see how this scooter handled the terrain, which includes lots of hills. I didn’t anticipate it taking hills easily due to the fact that I am a larger woman. Not only did the scooter easily make it up the hills, it performs amazingly well and had no issues making it up steep hills. The deck is extra large and is by far the most comfortable scooter deck that I have tried. The battery exceeds all expectations that I had for a scooter. I can easily ride it multiple times without having to charge it. My family likes to ride at night sometimes and the safety features of this scooter are unparalleled. There is a light on the front of the scooter and a brake light at the rear. The brakes are very responsive and easily adjustable if needed. This scooter is amazing! Not only is the ride smooth and fast, this scooter has all of the bells and whistles. It comes with an integrated cable lock that makes it easy to secure your scooter when you are out and about. It also has an electronic lock which makes it impossible to ride if you don’t have the combo. The easy to read screen shows battery status and speed. My 16 year old son has taken it for a spin and absolutely loves it. I am 44 and also have a blast on it and love that we can all go for rides together. The performance is outstanding. It accelerates smoothly and quickly, making it perfect for navigating through the streets. The battery life is more than sufficient for my needs, giving me a solid 20-25 miles on a single charge, depending on the terrain and speed. The scooter is easy to ride and very sturdy. I like that you need to push it forward a little in order for it to start, which prevents the scooter from having a sudden speed change at the beginning. The design seems very detail oriented, easy to fold and lock the handle in place, very bright front light, which is great for evening rides, and there’s a built in anti-theft device. I recommend reading the manual entirely before using it, some default settings were not very intuitive to me when I tried to ride it without reading the manual. ... show more

I bought this Gotrax scooter for my 15 yr son as his birthday present thru Amazon with the understanding that there's a 2 yr warranty..... after a couple of months of use the E4 error starts showing in the display... immediately we took the scooter to an local authorized Gotrax dealer with 18 yrs of experience, the dealer very honestly says... "the problem is the display and Gotrax has no availability of that part, you should contact Gotrax to ask for an exchange or send you an replacement part".... this is when the nightmare begins: 1st) You need to understand that If you buy a Gotrax scooter from Amazon you are not going to receive the Customer Service from the US, they will connect you to an office located God knows where that they only respond to your emails during midnight and only once a day. 2nd) after contacting them they diagnosed the problem saying that the problem was not the display... they stated that the problem was the front wheel (I don't understand how come a 18 yr experienced dealer was wrong in the first place)..... they sent the wheel and arrived arrived 1 week later... by the way the tire doesn't hold the air... I said that not a big problem... the big issue is the E4 error displayed. 3rd) I installed the wheel... didn't solve the problem... asked them again what was wrong, a day after they say: "have you connected the cables correctly?"... OMG, a mechanical engineer asked if I had connected the cables correctly....a day after I responded yes!.... a day after that they responded "we will send you the generator adaptor cable and controller to solve the problem".... 3 days just to confirm that you have installed the cables correctly! this is the type of customer service you will be receiving! 4th) After a week I received a brushless controller.....without instructions, a brushless control with four cables of the same color and shape.... the controller received was different from the one that was installed in the scooter.... OMG!.... I asked, what is this? and how you want me to change this? ... a day after they responded.." I sent you two motor adapter cable..... send me pictures of what you received" 5th) I exploded.... I asked them for a refund or exchange... they responded: " Beyond Amazon's exchange period, we can only provide you with warranty by reissuing accessories."..... what? !!!! I'm stuck with a trash $1,000 scooter... that nobody in Gotrax knows what is wrong with it and wasting my time replacing parts that are not solving the problem..... My honest recommendation: please don't buy Gotrax!!! and if you are convinced you want to buy a Gotrax scooter.....Do not buy it thru Amazon!!!!!! ... show more
