I got the larger size and it's perfect to warm the foot of my bed. It would also work well for pain relief. I didn't want a full length heated mattress pad. The cord and is long enough to hide under the bed skirt and reach the outlet near my headboard, and the controller hangs over the side under the duvet unobtrusively. So, I could put it in place and leave it. The temp setting is super easy to use and understand, as is the timer. I love not having to wake up to turn it off. It has no smell. Seems good quality but if it doesn't last I'll be mad and will definitely come back to update my review. It's also very soft, pliable and a nice weight, but doesn't weigh down my feet.
