that this company doesn't have better quality control. Unfortunately the manufacturer they contracted used components that had a lot of chemicals, as soon as I turned it on there was a strong chemical smell. I hoped it would dissipate, but after almost three weeks I still could smell it so I returned it. What's the point of using something that is supposed to be good for your health when you're being exposed to chemicals. It's too bad because it was just the perfect size for the office and very reasonably priced. I love this heating pad! I bought one for my mother, unfortunately I did not read the instruction manual entirely. For those with pacemakers this heating pad is not recommended. My mom talked with her heart doctor and he confirmed she was not to use it. She has had to replace many things in her home like her bathroom scale with the BMI ration it. This really is a fantastic heating pad! I wish Amazon and all sellers would put a symbol or warning statement to let people with pacemakers or other medical equipment if a product is not recommended for them. It is disappointing to have to read it on the pamphlet in the box to learn it will have to be returned. ... show more

This is so great. I used a full size mat at my chiropractor’s office and it was 100$ for an hour. I read the other reviews- yes it does take about 20 minutes to warm up but it’s not a conventional heating pad- it has to heat up all of the crushed stones- if you want it hot or warm when you apply it then I would just preheat it while you do something else. Now that I love this so much I’m bummed I didn’t get a full size one- but in the literature I received it said I could trade this in with the company for full price and use that towards a bigger one. Mine also came with instructions on temperature- so the other reviews were either outdated or they didn’t read the instructions. I am very happy with my purchase but will probably be getting a bigger one soon. ... show more

Everyone who I let borrow this mat buys it. My acupuncturist is getting one for her office. 2 Biomat owners tried this and wished they had known of this older company that was not a pyramid marketing system before buying the other more expensive mat (that they are uncomfortable sleeping on). Thank God Amazon lets this company reach us without added costs. I’ve been sleeping on this for a month and my detox and joint issues are x 10 better with this thing. I love this heating pad~! I did a few weeks of research before committing to this purchase. I was happy to note the company stands by their product with a warranty and you can trade in your old pad for credit towards an upgrade. This is a gateway product for me to see if I thought it was helpful and worth the investment. I will be looking at a larger mat with additional features in the future. Now I have purchased 2 more for my daughter and niece. (I let my daughter try it for a week and she said I'd have to fight her to get it back~! ) The video on YouTube was helpful in showing the layers and benefits. I purchased the 48" version of this for myself direct from Healthy Line early 2018 and love the product. I keep it on my sofa at 40 celcius for me and my cat to "chill" on, and sometimes I put it on the floor with my foil blanket and lavender drops to turn myself into a human burrito at 60 celcius for an hour. It's amazing. In a cold winter I can place it under my sheets to stay warm in bed at night while keeping my thermostat at 64 to save money on heating bills. Awesome. That being said, I purchased this little mini version just for my cat recently. Yes, spoiled animal with his own Amythest mat. I'm only disappointed with the controller. It doesn't keep temperature like my 48" one does. If I set it on 40, the temp will read from 37 to 43 or 44. That's not healthy for a kitty - gets too hot. I'm waiting to call Healthy Line until I've had the issue for a month or so. Right now it's just been a couple weeks. It's a great product with a poor controller. I wish they'd redesign it to be smaller and entirely electronic without the klunky dial, but.... Middle class problems right? The mat works regardless of size - highly recommend. The large one alleviates my back pain like a charm. I can vouch that is good for humans and animals. ... show more
