This stuffy is so adorable and works really well. The heating pack has some weight to it, and I like how you can remove it. I like to heat it up for 30 secs and just put the pack on my shirt alone for maximum heat, but the stuffy works great too. Thanks !

I couldn't resist the cuteness of this Axolotl plushie and decided to opt for it instead of a boring rectangle heating pad. And let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision! When that time of the month arrives, you deserve something special. Upon receiving the plushie, I was immediately impressed by its softness. It is incredibly cuddleable, just as it should be. The inside contains a packet filled with round beans(?), which you can take out and heat up in the microwave. However, I must caution that it does become quite humid when heated. While it may seem unusual, this feature actually helps to distribute the heat more effectively. Just make sure to air-dry the inside of this adorable axolotl after use. One unexpected but amusing aspect of using this heating pad is the way it can turn you into a kangaroo of sorts. You'll find yourself carrying this little plushie in your pant, and the axolotl's head will adorably stick out like a joey. It's certainly a unique experience that adds a touch of joy to an otherwise challenging time. I bought this for one of my best friends for Christmas and she absolutely loved it! She named it Bernard and it worked wonders. It retains heat for a long time and is super soft. However, I will say a couple things. The actual plush is smaller and lighter compared to a "normal" stuffed animal. It's about the length of two hands side by side. Sometimes too, it's hard to feel the warmth through the plush as you do have to take out the heating pad separately to microwave and put it back in. I got this instead of the much higher prices "for dogs" warming buddy. My dog loves to be warm (she has an electric throw and burrows in blankets during the summer) and she has pretty bad separation anxiety. I got her this to snuggle with when she's cold and to help her feel more secure. She loves it even though it's still pretty hot in my area. The toy has pretty good insulation and she'll kick it away if she gets too hot. If I'm not going to be with her while she uses it, I don't heat up the beads for as long to decrease burn risk. Things I like: * Re-usable/re-heatable clay beads (some of the dog buddy ones were single use hot hands-type packets) * Very soft * Good size for my dog * Didn't have a weird factory smell Things I don't like: * It's spot clean only. I realize this is not technically a dog toy, but it even if I was using it for myself or a kid, it would be nice if you could throw it in the wash and drip dry it. ... show more
