This is not a device suitable for commercial use. That said, it is a great price for a decent machine and a lot of fun at parties! The best thing is that it has adjustable temperature! Only get a machine with this feature! Getting a great puff of cotton candy is a delicate balance of temperature. It has to be hot enough to melt the sugar, but cool enough that the sugar solidifies before hitting the side of the bowl. It takes practice and patience (I made a lot of side-wall rock candy before figuring it out) but this machine can do the job. Make sure you practice before your party. I recommend outdoors. We started with one of those ~$50 "novelty" vintage style cotton candy machines. They work, but take 10 minutes to heat up and 10 minutes per serving - kids lose interest waiting in line and the amount of candy is underwhelming. This machine is huge and awesome. Warm up for 3-4 minutes. aiming for ~95 on the voltmeter. Drop in a scoop of sugar and poof - instant cotton candy faster than you can grab it. This is well made. My only complaint is that the recommended settings made the sugar spit everywhere. I found that we had to lower the settings substantially.

I bought this back in February but only opened it in May. (Stupid me) Right away noticed that it's been used, even though I paid for a new one. It wasn't completely clean and had gunk here and there. I read the manual, cleaned it, let it run for a couple minutes before turning on the heat. The voltmeter arrow started moving and it started heating but stopped after 10 seconds. Tried all the troubleshooting options without luck. Very disappointed, since it's too late to return for a replacement. ... show more

I got this to use in my classroom for rewards and I’ve already used it a few times. Easy to set up and use, cleaning was fairly easy- definitely good value for the price I paid. Kids thought it was fun to watch and it was pretty quick to make their cotton candy.

We bought it for work events and staff appreciation weeks, so far we have used it twice and for what we use it for, such a great investment! It’s sturdy, works well, easy to use, and relatively simple to clean minus a few crevices. I would definitely recommend.
