I finally ordered these, after seeing them recommended in a travel article a year or two ago, and I used one on my most recent transatlantic flight in economy. It made me feel much more comfortable and was surprisingly easily tucked out of the way when not in use. You hang it on the back of the food tray, and as far as I could tell, it didn't bother the person in front of me at all, and it worked for me even when the person in front reclined their seat. I guess it wouldn't work if you picked a bulkhead seat.     • Sling was great, but I woke up on my flight back and item had snapped in half.

Update: seller issued a refund and I'd consider getting another. I got this sling for a long trip. It arrived quickly and is compact, adjustable, and has a soft fabric where your legs go. On my flights to my destination, this sling was awesome! I was so much more comfortable than usual. I was able to sleep and it really helped my lower back. Unfortunately, during my return flight, the platform snapped in half. I'm not even sure when or how. I was using during an overnight, I had my feet up, and at some point, it just wasn't comfortable or working and I realized the platform had broken (not even bent). After that I couldn't get comfortable. It either needs to be less brittle or reinforced in the middle, if it was soft rather than a platform, it wouldn't have kept folding after it was damaged. I loved this for the first part of my trip, but was really disappointed when it failed on the way home. I'll keep looking for a foot sling as it is a game changer for long flights, but this one wasn't durable and isn't usable after first trip. Used this for the first over a recent trip. I had wacked the crap out of one of my feet and needed to keep it elevated. This worked like a charm. How high or low you want to make the sling is easy. Placement on the seatback tray structure also helps with the height of the sling as well as where it “lands” under or in front the seat in front of you. If you the tray, the strap might shift but you can easily fix and the weight of your foot (or feet) will keep the strap in place while the tray is open. Seemed really sturdy and then I shifted not bearing any real weight on it and it snapped. I was still comfy on the flight but off it went back to Amazon and hopefully the one I bought to replace it lasts better.

I have been traveling off and on, and I am always crunched. I found this footrest, which looked like a neat product, so I decided to try it. I was not disappointed; this one has worked out great. First off, very easy to use. I like how it adjusts easily and hangs perfectly on all airlines, too. Secondly, it is very comfortable to use. I like how it has padding on the bottom and light on the sides to keep my legs breathing without setting. Lastly, it stows away nicely when not in use.
