Description

Installation: Determine the correct placement for the stop Open the door to about where it will be held open (usually 90 degrees). Hold the stop in place at the location you chose. Check to see if the rubber shoe at the base sits flat on the floor. It should not be tilted to either end, but should be completely flat and tight to the floor. If it doesn't fit flat, move the stop up or down on the door, until the shoe fits tight to the floor. Mark the screw locations on the door using a pencil. Pre-drill holes for the screws, then fasten the stop to the door. Make sure not to drill all the way through the the other face of the door. Test the stop to make sure it is holding the door open as desired.

This is an easy to use and sturdy doorstop. The door opening from my garage to the house is heavy and slams shut like someone is slamming it in your face. I have mobility issues and lugging groceries in while trying to twist the door handle to open it was cumbersome as was trying to find something high and heavy enough to keep the beast open. I had a handyman install this along with a ton of other little odds and ends. He liked it so much he asked me to send the info to him, so that he could install one in his home. The installation is easy and if I could bend I would have done it myself... just a matter of drilling in a few screws. I've also had a few other people who have asked about it as well after using it themselves. As I have nerve problems in my leg and foot I really appreciate the ease in use. I can put the stopper down with the tip of my toe, barefooted or with a shoe, easily and then tap the lever down with another light tap. Could not be more simple, even a child can do it. This is a very sturdy piece that will last longer than most of us. It is a nice and shiny silver with gentle curves and a sleek profile for it's heft. It is much more attractive than the standard doorstoppers that I have seen. I highly recommend this highly functional and attractively designed quality doorstop. ... show more

Very heavy duty door stop. Love the adjustable foot. However, Hole placement made installing difficult because the release gets in the way. too, when it come time to deploy the stop with your foot, the release gets in the way and it will pop right back up again. So, I usually have to bend over to deploy the stop, but it is nice to tap the release and it pop back up and the door is ready to close. ... show more
