I've only owned this vacuum sealer for a few months, but so far I love it. Comes at a great price point, and creates a really tight seal. Even with foods that have a lot of juices in it, this sealer gets the job done. Plus this sealer is totally automatic--all I need to do is feed the end of the bag into the sealer, press a button, and the sealer clamps down on the bag and does the rest on its own. I included a couple of photos to show the before and after in sealing up a couple of steaks. Clean up simply requires lifting the latch on the top of the unit, and then detaching the silver part of the unit from the rest of the unit. Then just clean both parts with a paper towel or sponge and you are done. I LOVE the amount of suction this unit produces. There is much more definition of the vacuum seal bag around the meat than I used to have with my previous vacuum sealer that I got from Costco, which indicates to me a much higher suction and better seal than I used to get with my old vacuum sealer. I mentioned that the seal itself seems to be better as well, because I have left meats in my freezer for several months now, and the bags still have that nice definition to them. With my old sealer, many of my vacuum seal bags looked like they had a small leak in them, and failed to keep any kind of tight-looking seal over time, as though air had slowly leaked into them. When I use my vacuum seal bags, one trick I use is to create the seal at the bottom of the bag using the end that comes off of the roll (before I make any cut to the roll). I usually make a double seal, just to make sure that the seal is absolutely tight (see picture above). I hope to update this review after a year or so, in order to report on the durability of the unit. But so far it feels solid, and looks like it is going to hold up well over time. Nice to have a quality-made unit for a decent price--seems like something that is harder and harder to find these days. ... show more

My wife and I have used this for 2 months now and we use it to seal everything. We vacuum sealed a bunch of food right off the rip, and we didn’t stop there. There is a seal button that seals without vacuuming the air out and we use that button for a lot of stuff. We use it for cereal bags, potato chips, candy, and anything else we want to keep fresh. We were able to go on vacation for two weeks and come back to fresh food instead of throwing away a bunch of stale or rotten stuff. Ive got probably 20 hours worth of vac packing with this unit. It works well but has sealing issues if sny moisture or contamination is at the seal point which i had issue with at first but not after i figured it out. It doesnt vac wider rolls/ bags down well, the size it comes with work great though. I havent tried the attachments. ... show more

Calling all aspiring food astronauts! If you've ever dreamt of sealing up leftovers with the power of a mini black hole, well, say hello to this amazing vacuum sealer! This bad boy is like the superhero of the kitchen, sucking out air like it's on a mission to Mars. I tested it on everything from my famous lasagna to a PB&J (just to see what would happen). The results? Let's just say my leftovers have never looked so ready for lift-off. Bonus points for making me feel like a sci-fi chef and helping me defeat the evil forces of freezer burn. This vacuum sealer looks are stylish and modern and it will look great on you kitchen counters if you choose to have it on display. But the best thing is the ease of use. The LED buttons are easy to read and there is a button for each mode (DRY, MOIST or just VAC). All you have to do is insert the bag through the opening and press a button. Additionally, the cleanup process is so easy as the top part detaches for easy access to clean anything that might spill if you are sealing moist contents. It’s much noisier than previous products, but does the job quickly. It does need time to cool off rather quickly, so if you’re separating and packing a large amount of anything it will need some time after 6 or 7 jobs. Overall, great buy for the money.

I bought this after much research and I’m beyond satisfied with its quality and features! It’s so easy to use and vacuum seals items quickly and with a strong vacuum. It’s already paid for itself. I was able to go to the store and buy in bulk and vacuum seal the items for use later with no freezer burn and it lasts twice as long. I should of bought this years so. The day we received this we went to town on all kinds fish, steak, sausage, bacon and dried foods for extra long storrage. We have used it every weekend since for the fish we catch for meal portions. We are very pleased with ours.
