    • First food vacuum sealer and it is life-changing!

While I've only had this vacuum sealer less than a few days at the time of this review, this contraption is life-changing. I actually question why I haven’t bought this earlier as I was easily able to transfer all of my frozen foods that were in zip-loc bags to air tight vacuum bags within a few minutes. Not only does the vacuum seal help to preserve foods in the freezer for longer, but also helps to prevent freezer burn as well (which the zip-loc bags clearly was no help for). Additionally, I have so much more room in my freezer bin now that everything is compressed, thanks to the sealer. The machine itself is very easy to use and seals well. Only minor thing is that it is surprisingly quite loud, but I’m guessing it’s mostly due to its high suction power (which appear to top other well known brands). I am extremely happy that I decided to go with anybear, as the machine works quickly, works well, and at an affordable cost compared to its competitors. ... show more

I love that I do not have to push hard to close the top to seal. I have arthritis in my hands and it is hard for me to close or open things. This is so perfect I have no trouble closing or opening the machine. What I also live is that it has a built in cutter and storage for you rolls of sealer bags. I've only had it for a week but so far so good! It comes with quality bags and the machine feels well made. Very easy to use as well. Seals perfectly after the vacuum stops. UPDATE: Well, I spoke too soon. After 1 week the vacuum would not draw out the air from the bag unless you pressed down on the lid to aid the foam gasket. Also, a few of the bags I had sealed lost their seal in the refrigerator. I returned it. HOWEVER: The customer service is spectacular. I returned it without contacting them for help. It turns out the foam gasket probable needed to be swapped for one of the new ones in the box (there were two) so I probably didn't need to return it so fast. They replaced the unit. ... show more

We recently bought this after borrowing another brand from a friend. After throwing so much food away that perished in its original packaging we decided to give this a try and are extremely happy with our purchase. In the research I did I found this Anybear product to be higher in wattage and suction power than most others that were higher priced. It is a bit loud but not a problem - you’re only using it momentarily anyway. It’s lightweight, stores easily, has great suction and seals very well. The Anybear works really well. It is very easy to use and seals the food with almost no effort. It's fast and efficient. I sealed about 150 lbs of fresh caught tuna for the freezer. I also sealed some mackeral and squid for bait on the next trip. Very pleased with the results so far.
