PURPOSE: To replace your frustration with cheap, disappointing, floor damaging, poor-quality, squeaky office chair wheels with a good experience of a well-built, satisfying, safe for floors, good quality, quiet product that is quick and easy to install and use and will last a long time. Well, I found it! BACKGROUND: I have an older typical office chair I was using for a long time when recently one of the plastic wheels broke! Of course, it had to be when I was going to sit in it and nearly tipped over and fell! Good thing it was me and not one of my cats who was traumatized, right? I knew it might happen but didn't know what to do about it. So I researched wheel replacements (and there are SO many) for office/gaming chairs and read the product reviews to determine that the “Office Chair Wheels Replacement [with] Rollerblade Style [caster wheels]” was the right choice for me. WHO IS IT (BEST) FOR? • Anyone who wants/needs to replace their broken, cracked, defective, or noisy wheels on their office/gaming chair • Anyone who has a larger body frame and needs the wheels to be able to support their weight • Anyone who likes quick and easy installation with no tools required • Anyone who appreciates a “lifetime promise” warranty that never expires WHAT’S THE DEAL: WHAT AM I GETTING? WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT IT? • The box contained the 5 wheels, a post-card size “Installation” and “Lifetime Product Warranty” card with a history of the company and its founders, along with a hand-written note of thanks for your business. I thought that was a very nice and personalized touch! • They look good and study with their roller-blade-styling • They seem to be high-quality and well-made • They are mostly a universal size with standard stem that should fit any chair • They were SO easy to install: pull out the old wheels, push to click in these new ones (with a little force) • Once installed, the chair felt fine and was actually raised up a little and could move smoothly without catching on the floor mat WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME? • You get better wheels than your current, probably plastic, cheap, low-quality materials set • You have comfort in having study, smooth-rolling wheels that fit almost every chair • They’re safe for all floor types so it won’t scratch or leave marks • Are you big(ger)? Well, they support up to 650 pounds! • They’re easy to install and don’t require tools (other than your hands) • They come with a lifetime warranty that doesn’t expire TECHNICAL SPECS: • Color: Black • Count: Five (5) • Weight: 2.6 pounds • Material: Polyurethane • Stem: Height = 7/8” (22mm), Width = 7/16” (11mm) • Wheel: Height = 3” (7.5cm), Width = 3” (7.5cm) (These are an approximation as I had to measure them myself with a ruler.) WHAT ARE THE CONS (Tell me the bad stuff too!): • Instability: Some, but VERY little. Although the wheels may be tall and narrow, any instability with the chair is usually caused by the chair design and the position of the user and their weight distribution. • Positioning: You should not need to to get off the chair and move it to the desired position, but may occasionally need to based on the weight applied to the chair. They don’t glide well across standard medium-to-high pile carpet. • Getting stuck: ...in a rut might occur, but just like anything heavy sitting in one spot for a long time, depressions (deep grooves) will form where the wheels are, and that's unavoidable. • Movement: If you're like me and have the usual house carpet, you will need a chair floor pad (plastic carpet protector) to move more smoothly than on regular carpet. Just know that the floor pad TOO will develop depressions. It's weight, gravity, and physics. You can't win. :( SUMMARY & CONCLUSION: It was a good decision and purchase for me. I didn’t much like my old plastic wheels and can’t imagine why they would even be designed for office/gaming chair use when the stress and weight from the chair can easily crack them. I liked the background story they included on the card, and the personal, hand-written thank you was a very nice touch. They look good, they work well, they’re sturdy, and they do the job. Knowing that the company gives you a non-expiring lifetime promise warranty eases my mind because as they say: “If you EVER have any issues with your chair wheels, we’ll send you a brand new set.” I’m not sure any other wheel manufacturer can say that and stand behind it. This product is wonderful. First it is bargain price for anyone who has ever shop for any kind of wheels or Casters. The quality is outstanding. The bearings are silent and well packed. The wheels are very sound and quiet. It took me three minutes, including removing the old wheels from my office chair to install them the chair, glides silently and with little effort. It is good to see a small family company, producing a product that made very well revolutionized the office chair industry. Kudos to the Office Oasis. Their customer support is superior because I sent them a text thanking them for making such a wonderful product and I had a very detailed response from them. Our feud with our downstairs neighbors is unlikely to end until the kids are older? But I feel better knowing these silent rollers aren’t adding to the issue when the kids jump into the office chair. They are very smooth rolling, and I like the feel myself as well. Installation was easy, 3 minutes, though I did have to pull hard and lever the old ones out. Thats what they said to do, but the force required surprised me a little. Great quality, great design, great product ... show more

I bought these to replace the wheels on 2 chairs we bought at Costco probably 20 years ago. The chairs themselves are still in great shape but the wheels leave black marks on our industrial tile laboratory floors. I just refinished them and decided to look for non-marring wheels which I should have done years ago. I’m happy to report that these wheels are excellent! They don’t leave any marks whatsoever and as a bonus they are smooth, fast, and completely silent. I highly recommend them. Well worth the money and slick looking, too. ... show more

I have a racing style gaming chair and I love it but the wheels on all these chairs are plastic, loud, and annoying on carpet. I saw these while doing some research on google and decided to give them a try. The order arrived quickly and even included a handwritten note which I thought was extremely nice. The product itself was ridiculously easy to install, no special process or anything, just popped the old wheels off, put these bad boys on and my chair is dead silent, smooth as butter, and can traverse any part of my house. Working from home I have bought more chair mats that I care to count but I don't think that is needed anymore as these castors are premium quality and you can feel the difference the minute you sit down. I wanted to love these bad!!! My bedroom carpet is a medium pile, so it really doesn't work so well with roller chairs. I've been struggling to find a solution that doesn't involve a plastic pad for my floor since I pack down my desk space regularly to enjoy the open floor space when I'm not working on projects. I've tried a few different wheel options and although these are awesome and smooth due to the height and durable feel to them, when shifting in the chair, the wheels always line up horizontal at some point. When that happens and you go to scoot forward again, you just end up fighting the carpet as they studder to readjust to the correct angle. On a smooth hard floor, they work WONDERFULLY. But if you have medium to thick carpet, it's just not gonna move the way you need. If they offered a double wheel option, I think there would be much smoother movement on carpet. I loved that this is a family owned business though, loved the card and the open offer to text them, but ultimately I just decided to do a return. ... show more
