This headrest is designed to match my old Aeron C chair perfectly. And it allows me to sit in the chair with my head at the right angle to avoid neck strain. I may not have installed it correctly, or be using it correctly though. The instructions and FAQs talk about how it's designed to "flow freely" with your head and not "lock into a single place." Well, I have it adjusted so that it stays in the same spot -- which is exactly the spot where I want it. Bottom line: I was facing a choice. I could spend $200 on a headrest for my Aeron or replace it with a chair that had a headrest and sat similarly, for about $1,200. Because the headrest works so well, I didn't have to replace the chair. So I'm thrilled. Please note. When I looked at the reviews on Amazon, I saw one where the buyer had originally purchased the size 3 headrest and it didn't work so well; so they replaced it with the size 4, and it was great. Based on this, I got the size 4. As I said, I have the Aeron model C - the largest one -- and the size 4 is great. So it seems that you have to pay attention to which size you get. ... show more

When I got my Herman Miller chair off of Facebook Marketplace a few years ago, I was highly pleased with it but felt that it was missing something: a headrest. I thought that I needed to purchase a larger chair but upon browsing Amazon one day, this popped up and it was instantly what I was looking for! When I finally received the product, I noted the high quality. It was solid. The color matched perfectly despite not having the sticker affixed to the bottom of the chair, indicating which color to get as per manufacturer's instructions. Without reading the instructions I quite easily put it together to the chair and voila! It was the missing piece. I got the H4 version as I'm 5'11" and it was just right. Now I can go about working and resting my head easily with this new addition to the chair. I took one star off because there appears to be some warping of the mesh on the right side of the headrest (you can see it in the pic). ... show more

    • Headrest has increased the comfort of my Herman Millar Aeron chair significantly

I like this product, It was more expensive than other offerings. I chose it because it had an additional ability to tilt forward and backwards unlike most others that lift up and down and rotate. I felt it important to adjust the position of how forward my neck would be in relation to the surface of the chair and my neck. In leaning back into the headrest the fabric slipped from it's original mounting position and is now slack, while this is disappointing for a $200+ aftermarket add-on. Their service team has been quite responsive and says their is a replacement on it's way. I find the soft spot to be quite comfortable, so while it's not as nice looking it may turn out to be more comfortable than when the fabric is tight. I'll know once the replacement arrives. I'm hoping for the best. They have a decent support portal on their website that keeps our communication in one place. I'lll update this review if there is more to add. Worth noting, I am a 6 foot person so I chose the H4 version which was more expensive. I don't think the additional height is necessary unless you are significantly taller than 6' as the highest position is not useful. ... show more

Do you recall the feeling you had when you first sat in an Aeron? The first time I sat in my chair after installing this headrest gave me that feeling 100x. Yes, this headrest costs as much, or more than a decent chair. But you own a Hermon Miller Aeron, so what did you expect an accessory to cost? It matches the chair perfectly. Installation took 2 minutes with the provided allen wrench. I'm glad I ordered the larger size H4 - I'm 5'11" and it is perfect, with a lot of room to adjust. I was skeptical about spending this much on the headrest but it is a keeper. ... show more

I recently ordered a refurbished Aeron Classic chair and I really wanted to try out a headrest. I ordered the Engineered Now H4 and an Atlas headrest. I ended up getting rid of the Atlas pretty quickly as I much prefer the H4. I am 5'9" and the H4 isn't too tall for me. The actual mounting mechanism between the Atlas and the Engineered Now H4 are very similar as they just clamp to the top of the chair the same way. I do prefer the adjustments on the Atlas, but the H4 is fine. You can pop the plastic covers off of the adjustment links and tighten the mechanism if you ever had it move around on you. The mesh on the H4 isn't as nice as the actual Aeron mesh. It isn't as tightly formed and you can get wrinkles in the headrest, but I can't feel them with my head. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the headrest. I will update this review if I start to notice any major flaws. I do hope the mesh holds up. ... show more
