Update: Hamaoka support reached out to me and has resolved my issue. I am very satisfied with the support from them and making this process and smooth as possible! I am no longer upset about my purchase! Thank you for the communication. First off: Chair is comfy, wide enough to fit a 6'3 260lbs man comfortably. Arm rests are supportive, however they are fixed, this can mess with your desk height. The riser on the chair I wish was higher, my knees do not sit at a 90 degree angle as this is short. After 8 months of use, this chair is falling apart to an extent. The chair leans to the right a significant amount, about 2 inches, when measured with the arm rests under my desk. It is not ergonmimic at all. This is a great chair for executives who can lounge, but the person who is sat in it for 8hrs a day, it does not support your lower, mid or upper back. Also the lever to adjust height is extremely bendable metal, as this is advertised as a heavy duty chair, it is incredibly weak and bends after daily use of the chair, which in turn causes the chair (when it a locked upright position) to recline slightly backwards. This is HORRBILE for your back and neck and you are no longer sitting up straight and in an ergonomic position. TLDR: Chair is great and comfy and big enough. Wish the riser was taller as this is advertised as big and tall, and over time the adjustment lever bends, and chair leans to the right which makes this ergonomically terrible. If you are spending this type of money on a chair, just buy a standing desk or a herman miller or some chair that has better ergonomics. ... show more

I bought this chair based on the measurements, as I needed a larger chair. I didn't think about the placement of the arms though and unfortunately the metal bar of the chair digs into my legs (not that chairs fault, just my size). Besides that though it's a beautiful chair, easy to assemble and comfortable (if I was a bit thinner in the thighs it would be perfect!) I contacted the company to return the chair, they were very responsive and worked with me to get to a solution I was happy with. Unfortunately I had no way to return such a large box, but I was in the middle of finding a new and larger SUV and they assured me I could still return it after the cut off day for a full refund. Well it took way longer than I expected to secure a vehicle. So I emailed them again to make sure I could still send it back, they got back to me faster than any other company and they offered to send a full refund and allowed me keep the chair! My advice is take a chance on this chair. It's a quality chair and if it's not perfect for you, there is peace of mind knowing the company goes above and beyond to take care of their customers.     • High Comfort but Limited Durability: A Two-Year Experience with This Office Chair

I purchased this chair in October 2022, and it served me well until June 2024, when it ultimately broke. Initially, the chair was excellent, offering remarkable comfort and relaxation. However, over time, it began to deteriorate. The chair itself, while very comfortable, was somewhat fragile. The wheels would slide even on rugs and carpets, and occasionally, the chair would tip over when I leaned back due to its inability to support my weight adequately. When fully assembled, the chair is relatively heavy and may require two people to lift for those with limited strength. The assembly process was manageable, though somewhat frustrating, particularly when attaching the armrests. Additionally, dust tends to accumulate in some hard-to-clean areas. Around the second month, the chair began to squeak intermittently, and this issue persisted until it broke. When the chair finally failed, the right armrest snapped off, causing me to fall backward. My legs struck the desk, and both of my monitors fell on top of me. Despite these issues, I found the chair to be quite satisfactory, and I might consider purchasing another one. However, the most significant drawback was the instability of the wheels, which was a consistent annoyance. ... show more
