    • Smaller and flimsier than expected
It’s a nice looking design, but smaller and flimsier than I expected. The numbers given are accurate (28” x 9”) but I guess the kids in the photos are very small, because the board looks way smaller in person. Also the photo where the kid is laying on the board and kicking is a little suspicious, because in real life the board would be bent into a crescent shape. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to break or anything, but the photos make it look like it’s stiff (like a real surfboard) when it’s actually very bendy. The material they’re calling “durable compressed foam” is what normal people call styrofoam. It’s not awful but for $18 I was expecting more. I bought a regular shaped TYR kickboard at the same time for half the price, and it is way nicer - stiffer, thicker, nice smooth finished surface instead of styrofoam. I was expecting that material and construction in a fun surfboard shape, but that’s not what this is. It’s fun for a very young kid (3-4) but it’s not very usable as a kickboard and I don’t think it will last. ... show more

I really like the material of this kickboard compared to others I have purchased. Most are flimsy and actually bend when using but not this one. It is very sturdy and works well for swim classes where they are used constantly. It has no handles, so that makes it slightly difficult for smaller swimmers to hold, but really it is a matter of getting used to. I would definitely buy again! ... show more

Was a great core strengthening tool for the pool and fun for the kids to “surf” on in the water. After a couple of weeks, it was water logged and did not hold its shape. It was a lot of fun and supports a full size adult easily. Lots of fun but it will not last a whole summer.
