This will return the ball anywhere within a 90 degree arc, not meant to always send the ball directly back to where you shoot from. This fits standard home rims with 5" wide mounting plates. Not meant to be used during a game. Do not use or store/keep outside in temperatures below 40 degrees F as it could crack or break.

This is a sturdier plastic than I found in person at Academy & similar places. We've never owned a portable goal before and have issues with high winds. It survived the first time the goal fell over but not the second. It exceeded my expectations and as long as you aren't a portable goal novice like me, it will last very well! I really did not expect this to survive the goal falling over. Just be aware that it might not survive a goal falling over which we're still securing. I purchased a different brand in person and it doesn't feel as well made. I plan on purchasing this one again once I have sand bags & a better plan for the goal. ours is out year round and gets lots of use, its a wonderful invention and all the kids on the block appreciate the ball return, they are really made well, had no hesitation getting it again.

The thing is flimsy. It bounced to much and the ball would bounce off to the side and not roll straight down to the shooter

    • Too malleable, offers almost no resistance
This product is way too flexible to offer any resistance for the ball to roll back to you. Shoot at any distance beyond 10 ft will result in the ball bending this thing so much that it barely even makes any difference in which direction the ball will fall. About the only thing this does is prevent the ball from falling in a forward path (if you hit nothing but net/swish it). As an aid, it fails miserably. UPDATE: So after using it for a few weeks, I've come to the conclusion this is better than nothing. About half the time this will direct the ball back towards the shooter. But you still need to walk towards the ball to retrieve it. The ball will bounce about 8 feet towards you before it losing it's bounce. You can't just park yourself at the free throw line and expect the ball to come back to you. ... show more
