The vest is good for being in the water (obviously) but when we went to the beach I chose to put my grandson in a regular life vest…the ones without the arm floaties. This way he could play in the sand and be not only safe but comfortable.

My 20 month old was having a great time swimming and appeared to be comfortable in this vest. However I quickly noticed all the straps were constantly hanging and loose then her arms kept coming out of the arm holes. I got the size recommended for her weight but it clearly didn’t fit.

Fit my 24lb 2year old, who is petite and in the 18th percentile. So I think that’s awesome! He didn’t complain about wearing it at all and it looked comfortable. It also had instructions for rescue swimming tips on it and promoted him floating on his back vs his front like I was looking for. It kept his head above water while letting him move freely.
