I debated about purchasing this but i am so glad I finally did. Works great and is so much easier than a regular food saver type. Easy to use and bags are great sizes. Once the bags have been used, I found the best way to wash was to add water to bag with a little soap. Close and shake over sink. Once clean, rinse and dry. For years I have used Food Saver vacuum sealer, bags, and containers. I have always had issues with the bags not sealing, the plastic piece coming off the bags, the containers get cracks in them and then they won't seal, and after a few years the vacuum sealer doesn't work right. I tried these bags and they are so much thicker and better than anything food saver has. They even give a plastic piece to make sure you get a great seal on the bags. I really love these bags. I am a bit reluctant in reviewing this item because of previous reviews about item not working well. Thus far I've sealed a lot of veggies and it works great. It needs recharging often as it doesn't seem to hold a change well. I noticed that it's quite important to express as much air out of the bag before sealing it. It works faster and better this way. The vaccine pump only works for a couple of uses and needs to be recharged. It died after only two days of using. Don’t waste your money, it’s cheap junk.

The suction works well. I strongly advise keeping the sealing area flat on the table/counter and pressing the suction device firmly against it. It takes a minute but it won't suck well unless you press it firmly. The bags are the only issue I'm having. Most of the time they work great but I advise checking on them at least once a week. I've been freezing my food in silicone trays for portion control and easier sealing. This is allowing me to store 8 blocks each measuring 1cup in one of the large bags. But after about a week in the freezer, I'm noticing some of the bags become loose and have to be resealed. Some bags I've used and washed and reused without issues. But some bags I've never used before don't stay sealed after being in the freezer for a few days. ... show more
