I got this because during the summer I usually plan my daycare to have a visit from a local snowcone truck. Because of prices they went up on the cost of a snowcone per kid I thought it was crazy to make a toddler spend $3 a snowcone for 80% to get waisted! So I bought this to make our own snowcones! It works great! I don’t like that you have to use the bowl because putting a cup under to catch doesn’t work as well. And sometimes the ice gets stuck in the shoot. But it’s pretty easy to scoop out. It’s just causes it to be more of a time consuming process, it’s not a quick fill you cup process. But it shaves the ice really nice! This was perfect for my children's birthday parties, and family cook outs! It does a great job. My only complaint is the bowl that comes with it doesn't stay in place as it's filling with shaved ice. I had to hold it in place the whole time!
