    • This pan is terrific!
I have used a few different æbleskiver pans. Mainly, I was using cast iron pans, because everything I've read says they're better than aluminum -- more durable, better heat distribution, etc. And this pan is aluminum, so I wondered why it was getting such great reviews. That, and the much higher price pushed me away for a while. Then, recently, I took the plunge. Oh my, what a great decision! This pan is so much worth the extra cost. It's solid, easy to clean, easy to use, and it gives me the best æbleskiver I've ever made. I'm not enough of a materials scientist to explain the whole cast iron vs. aluminum situation, but the heat distribution on this pan is the best I've ever experienced, so no matter what it's made of, this is the pan for me from now on. This pan is easy to use especially with the nonstick surface. It makes turning the pancake ball so simple. Heating seems to be even. One only need a little patience to wait to turn the pancake. Cleanup is quick and easy.
