Liked I already had Porter Cable batteries and chargers, sander works as designed. As long as you apply sand paper disks properly so the holes are lined up to suck up the dust. Wish I would have purchased a long time ago.

    • It is easier to use on small jobs
I like the sander. It is easier to grab then the corded version. The 2 amp battery doesn't last very long, and the larger batteries seem to unbalance the sander a little. I still like it but for larger jobs I go to my corded version.

I'm pretty happy with this sander. I bought this and used it with batteries I already have. My first use was on my kitchen table which I'm refinishing. It worked great. Went through the batteries pretty quickly, especially the older 2 (I have 3 PC batteries, 2 are pretty old one is less than a year old). Sander was easy to use, the velcro to hold on the sandpaper worked like a champ and the dust catcher caught some of the dust. ... show more

Sander seems as effective as a plug-in model. Just make sure your batteries are up to the job because this will go through them!
