  • Great detailing tool
Almost four decades of detailing vehicles. The products and tools have changed, some are not so good and others are good. This tool makes the job easier, faster and better. Best cordless device out there at this time.

  • Top of the Line
I have had at least four buffer polishers, and this is by far and away the best. I have used it on our Grand Design Trailer to wax it, on all out car and trucks as well. It is fast, balanced, uses much less polish/wax, when your are done WOW. Yes, the hook and loop pad is very durable, last for a long time, but will need to be cleaned. (I use chemical guys cleaner, and conditioner.) I bought some extra pads, and buffs, the Milwaukee pads are expensive, buy they last a long time, like many many polishing jobs. I am 70 years old, and can use this for hours, less if doing a motorhome as you have lots of overhead, but a standard size car takes me about an hour, and the results are impressive. ... show more

  • Results are legit 100x better with the right tools...
Results are legit 100x better with the right tools... Polished my clear coat after rattle canning primer, base coat and 2k clear on the hood from dreaded paint peel. I was disappointed with the cloudy finish I got, but after some cutting, polishing and final wax, it came out real nice. I initially tried to polish with a drill attachment, no go... too hard to control pressure and angle once you start reaching your arm out. This was the right answer and now have the right tools to use it on my other cars. Happy. ... show more

  • Get ready to see what your paint was supposed to look like
I slipped on some 5" pads and polished to my hearts content. My daughter took a rock and scratched some circles into the paint on my car, the car I love, which sucked. I tried to polish by hand and after sweating off half my body weight I decided to find a better way. This polisher is a random orbital which works so well. There's a huge selection of speeds for it as well. I don't know which speed is best for the different jobs and I'm still learning that. There's no slowing this thing down either. I pressed fairly hard down and the tool doesn't show any sign that it is being stressed. I love Milwaukee M18 products and this is just another great addition to my tools ... show more

  • Perfect for my polishing needs
I like to keep my cars a long time. For decades, I had used the old ways—paste wax and “wax-on, wax-off,” just as Mr. Miyagi told me to. I could only do one car clay bar through to final polish in a weekend. I’d end up tired, sore, and for weeks I would still be finding wax in small crevices. I recently switched brands to Griot’s ceramic line (a review for another day), and bought this random orbital polisher and related Griot’s 5” pads. It did take me a bit to get used to, as I experimented with different speeds and amounts of wax. Wax on pad or car? The orbiter’s battery life (Milwaukee genuine 6.0amp) was terrific—did my track car in one charging. It wasn’t too heavy, but heavy enough to help me with the task. I did not see any swirls or any patterns left at all, and I did have to work some spots harder than I wanted. I tried to use the right pads for each situation, and swap them out as needed. I have not found as much wax in crevices, and I definitely am liking the output. Buttery smooth! All in all, a solid power tool that will be VERY well used. Meets my expectation of Milwaukee quality. ... show more

  • Disappointing Performance
It lacked power and left streaks on surfaces. The build quality felt cheap, and it overheated quickly.

  • Badazz
