As I had hoped, it was all I expected it to be when I unpacked the contents finding it nicely made and finished. It came with extra belts, a nice brass wire wheel and tools for assembly and adjustment. Motor ran smoothly and fairly quietly, exhibiting a good amount of power and performance. The belts tracked easily and were a pleasure to change out, which is a really great feature. While I am not a knife maker, I mainly use it to sharpen knives and tools with a more than satisfactory degree of professional like sharpness! I ordered a varied selection of belts for it and am honing my skills with practice and sharpening knives from my family and friends. Very pleased with the performance. Assembly was straightforward and the belt changes are a breeze. Vibration and noise are minimal. The LED light on the grinding wheel is adequate. I have refurbished a number of hand tools to like-new condition.

    • I love this grinder
I use this grinder for light metal work and it works great. The motor is not the strongest and will bog down if you are trying to remove a lot of metal. However, for removing scale and sharpening this is an awesome grinder.

    • Good Grinder
I was leery buying this because of some reviews, specially concerning customer support but took a chance and im very happy with it. Its a dream for grinding knife blades and really helped me get shiney straight blades and it really moves material nicely.I gave it 4 stars because the light is pretty chinzy and battery operated, i didnt even attach it, just used a different light instead. Also the design is poor where the handle to slack the belt for removal is in the way if you want to slack grind on the top half of the belt. They could of moved that an inch back and it would of been out of the way but didnt. I suggest using ceramic belts as the cheaper red type belts tend to cause a high spot where it connects so knife blades tends to bounce and chatter. It comes with 2 ceramic belts tho. Set up was easy, for the money im very happy with it and it took my knife making to the next level. ... show more
