Description

The 20V MAX XR brushless cordless 1/4 sheet variable speed sander provides you with the power and runtime needed to get the job done. A variable-speed dial provides speed control from 8,000 - 14,000 OPM for a variety of jobs. One-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors (sold separately). Rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. Paper clamp designed to hold paper securely and for ease of installation. Battery and charger sold separately.

I bought this to replace my corded Dewalt sander, which disappeared somewhere. This is the best quarter sheet sander out there. The sanders that use glue-on disc's are worthless because as they heat up, the glue stops sticking. This one is easy to reload, and less expensive in the long run.

Everything is light, easy to use, and works!! BUT whoever made the adapter to the dust bag hadn't a clue about how determined dust is to free itself from that darn bag . . I solved the problem very simply by wrapping 3 turns of Scotch 33+ electrical tape around the thin plastic snap on tube, right where the end of the bag connector snaps over the tube . . NO COST lasts forever, yet easily replaced if needed . . Come on Dewalt, make the darn thing 25 thousandths bigger down there and the bag connecter WILL seal . . . ... show more

Bought this for my wife to use to sand down a wooden queen headboard and footboard to refinish it. It was easy for her to use. She could even change the sandpaper. Was not too bad on batteries - we use 5 amp 20 volt batteries. Did great job. Love that we can buy full sheets of sandpaper and cut in quarters to fit perfectly. Very economical. Also like variable speed control knob in addition to the instant on/off switch. Love my dewalt tools. ... show more

This dewalt sander is very easy t use, well balanced, and collects much of the dust as it sands. It is easy to attach the sand paper. I find it runs a little quieter than my corded sander, and it is much easier to use without a cord. This sander and the Dewalt round disk sander are a great combination. ... show more
