  • Amazingly quiet sander and effective
I love this sander. The attachments go on and off easily. It's very quiet compared to the corded sanders and works just as well. There seems to be much better speed control with this battery powered sander compared to the corded. The sanding pads are easy to put on and take off effortless. It collects the saw dust well and easy to empy. Another great milwakuee design. No Brainer ... show more

  • Works great!
This was my first time using a cordless sander. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting it to be so good. I'm doing an addition on my house. We just put the drywall up, and it's time to sand. I didn't want to get a drywall sander, just to use this once. So, I opted to go with this. The battery lasts remarkably long. This thing is amazing! It works so well, I can just start off with 320 grit. The dust is to be expected. Wish I had a collection system. ... show more

  • Fantastic sander!
This is a great sander! I lI've this sander! It's a little heavy with a bigger battery but it's what ya want when sanding! I've used it a ton already and it never disappoints! It has a good amount of power and the bigger battery may a long time in it! Love the hook and loop arms Milwaukee gives you the extra hook and loop disc's when you buy their brand sandpaper! The vacuum attachment is great and the little extention so you can use the bigger battery is perfect! Ya really can't get any better than this if your looking for an orbital sander! ... show more

  • Good Quality
Works pretty well but I have to say it chews through the battery way too fast

  • Well worth the price!
Great value for the money, easy to use with or without the vacuum attached and sanding ability is super easy! Medium weight product and battery life depends on the age and maintenance of your battery/batteries. I have several batteries and some last longer than others when using this product. The power and speed of the product depends on your battery and the settings you select. ... show more

  • It's all about how you hold it.
Seriously, its all about how you hold the tool as to its ergonomics. Most of the less than positive reviews of this tool are related to it being rather un-cumbersome. I come from a background where all of my DA's were air driven, with a rigid and cumbersome air hose, and controls on the top of the body. Those tools as well as this were/are much more accurate and user friendly when gripped "at the shank", meaning not on the top, but on the body. Unfortunately I would have to use two hands to run an air tool from its shank. Take this tool and point the exhaust away from you, and grasp it low on the body. You will still have easy access to the motor controls, albeit with different fingers. You will now also have both better control of the tool, less fatigue, and a better finish pattern on your product. Remember, the final finish with any DA is all about proper and even surface contact of the paper with the product. A constant assessment of the stature "i.e.: debris build up on the paper" is important as well to achieve a high quality finish. Dirty, Clogged, Fouled, sand paper leads to scratches and streaks in the final product. I have three of these tools and just ordered a fourth. Rather than take the time to change a grit during a project, I just grab another tool(permanently labeled as to its grit). When the paper of whichever tool/grit gets dull, I will then change it out. For a finish carpenter like myself, these tools are a time saver, a welcomed addition to my arsenal, and have an orbit pattern suited well for wood. Very rarely do I sand one grit continuously for more than a few minutes at a time, so I never really notice battery fade with these tools, though I would dare say that the lower grits 60 -80 more than likely may use more juice, which is to be expected. When I started my carpentry business, I knew that I would have to select one platform and run with it. I have peers that have selected other platforms with great success, but my personal history and that of a few of my employees with the steadfastness and life longevity of Milwaukee tools steered me to them. So far, I am not disappointed. With easily 30k of Milwaukee cordless tools and accessories, I have to say that when I show up in the morning at any given jobsite, I can feel pretty confident that my team and I will make it through the day without mishap due to tool failure. This sander doesn't fail and I expect that she and her sisters will still be with me for many years to come. Good luck, and remember, it's okay to think outside the box. ... show more

  • Milwaukee random orbital sander
Great sander for the price! Dust collection is great you have the ability to hook it up to a shop vacuum. On a 5.0 battery will run for about 30 minutes
