I got this to use with my Daja mini laser, and it is perfect for it. It sits level and the surface is flat. There are no imperfections in the honeycomb and it works as it should. I also have a Two Trees TTS-55 and a honeycomb to go with it, but I wanted to see how well this one would work with it just in case someone was looking to use it with the same model and to know if it would work in case I somehow damage my main honeycomb through an error or mishap down the line. In my photos you can see my TTS-55 on the Two Trees brand honeycomb. I set the new OMTech honeycomb up in the same spot on the table with my mini laser for testing because I only have one enclosure at the moment plus it would give a better visual of the minor differences. The two biggest differences between the honeycombs that I have are that the OMTech is a shiny uncoated steel compared to the black coating on the Two Trees honeycomb. I prefer the look and feel of the OMTech, it looks nicer and feels like it is a better quality. The second difference is that the Two Trees honeycomb came with little pegs that you stick into the honeycomb to keep your project in position but the OMTech does not have anything like that. It isn't a deal breaker, the honeycomb is much better... but it is still worth noting because they are quite useful. The metal plate was perfectly flat upon arrival and everything arrived in good condition. My Two Trees plate was bent and needed to be manipulated back into shape so that everything would sit flat. The honeycomb works as it should and I am happy with it. It is just a smidgen too big to use with the TTS-55 without modifying the legs of the machine (it would be the perfect size if the legs of the machine were angled slightly differently). It would be a relatively simple fix to make it fit for someone with machining/technical skills... but if you just want to place and go it will not fit this particular laser model. I couldn't get a picture of the leg tilt/gap because my setup is on the edge of the table and it would put my laser at risk of falling off the side so you're just going to have to trust my words. Overall, good honeycomb. If the dimensions fit your needs, I recommend it. ... show more

Bought this after asking if the size would work for the Polar laser but without a response I decided to order it and see. It doesn’t fit the Polar. The company did refund my purchase but made feel irresponsible for not checking first when I actually did and they did not respond.

I got this to replace a DIY laser cutting surface that wasn't very sturdy. This laser bed has a sturdy frame and the guage of the metal honeycomb material is good and sturdy as well. the frame has millimeter marks on the X and Y axis, which is a nice added touch. Overall it definitely serves its purpose, and it does it well. The laser bed came well packaged and was completely free of any dents or bends, and it included a sheet metal plate to go underneath to protect the underlying surface of your work table. These are all pretty much the same - a honeycomb-latticed aluminum frame for laser cutting stuff. None of them seem to give space between the honeycomb and the aluminum sheet below, which would be wonderful for air assist to prevent project pieces from blowing away - I use some small lifts to allow an airgap between that sheet and the honeycomb. This one seems to be built a little better, has really solid measure markings and overall feels just a smidge better than the other I've gotten so far. ... show more

For me this is an upgrade from an aluminum honeycomb. It turns out I really prefer the magnetic capability. I can still use the press in keepers, but now I can also use different magnets! It came packed well, but somehow the bottom protective sheet still had some wrinkles at one edge. I tried to get a pic, but it’s not as visible as in person. It must have happened before packaging. I remove a half star for that, but otherwise everything is very nicely made and works great. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. A quality laser bed is a must for the DIYer a couple reasons. 1. Safety - with the amount of heat a laser generates fire is always a concern 2. Product discoloration - smoke and heat can ruin a part that we’ve spent considerable amount of time designing and preparing to cut or engrave. This laser bed reduces all of the above. In the video I’ve provided, you can see the smoke and heat is directed away from the work surface. It also prevents burning your work surface removing/reducing the fire hazard. My only complaint… I would have like to see the measurements on all four sides for part alignment on the laser bed. ... show more
