I own several xTool lasers and decided to add the F1 to the lineup for my studio work. I have been thoroughly impressed by how well this laser works for my needs. The first big project I tackled on it was a run of customized anodized aluminum cards to create tokens for a game. The level of fidelity in the images it produced- the clean sharp lines for text, and even the incredibly detailed greyscale without using a dithering mode were really incredible and were a huge step up from attempting the same engraving on my D1 Pro while also being about 10 times faster. The framing tools were invaluable for being able to lineup the chipboard jig I made for project, being able to see exactly where the bounds were all at once made it so easy to get everything dialed in. The option to have the framing go to the exact shape of the design has also been very useful for some of the other projects I've run on it. The speed on this machine is crazy fast - it's fast enough that I haven't hesitated to incorporate customized parts into more aspects of my shipping materials like mailer boxes and envelopes as they each finish so quickly it takes so little time to make stuff a little extra cool. The air purifier is also a great addition to this device, it's really great to be able to run the machine on a table behind me in the studio and not have to stress about the smoke. I bought my F1 laser a month ago. I let it sit on the floor so completely overwhelmed, worrying that I may start a fire or something. I can tell you from experience that the F1 has built in safety measures to make sure that doesn't happen. It is also very portable if you are wanting to take it to craft/trade shows. The software is very user friendly. The customer support is good as well. The X-tool community in its own is amazing. So many people out there helping each other with settings or projects, couldn't have asked for a better support system. I became so enthralled with the F1 that I bought the S1, but am still waiting on shipping confirmation with that. The F1 itself is built well and performs well. I would suggest the F1 to anyone looking to buy a laser. ... show more

Definitely a learning curve for any laser device, but the software is surprisingly usable. Limited support in Lightburn, but you are WAY better off using the xTool workspace! Really great results!

I wanted to like this product so bad because of its ease of use and portability however the first machine I received IR nor blue light laser would actually work which I assumed was a slim chance of happening. I returned and replaced the product and got a new working machine....for one day. This was not user error, the IR laser started strong. But after three projects, it became noticeably weaker. On the 4th it stopped working all together. After numerous tests both the IR and blue light lasers stopped working again for a second time. This machine has not been reliable by any stretch of imagination. understandably you get what you pay for so if you would like something to actually be able to do the jobs you want look at spending upwards of 3K. It's hit or miss at this price point I hope others have had better experiences and I really wanted to like this but there's no way I could do that. I considered upgrading to the F1 ultra but what's the point if the company quality control is this bad? I would rather not spend three times the money for the same awful quality. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I always use 3d printers "Creality, Prusa, Anycubic and Bambu Lab, so I ask why getting a engraving laser? The answer is simple open new doors for your Imagination all the Lasers in the market, you can pickup I recommend the Xtool F1 is small fits anywhere, the price and quality you get is so impressive you can believe in your eyes the quality you get is it easy to use and fast. You don't have no headaches and the software is easy to use and learning is the most easy understandable, you can use in the market I never thinking I having so many fun using this laser and depending the settings you use you can engrave in color that's very impressed. I just start using this laser for a couple of weeks. So if you want Engraving, Cut or Craftsman. I recommend this laser. Trust me, you don't going to regret it, in the end, you be surprised what you can do with it, your imagination is the limit in the end is a good Investment. If you don't know how to use it. Trust me in a couple of weeks, you'll be a professional. It's so easy to use and learn You can use your computer or you can use app on your phone to operate it. The media could not be loaded. Though this machine is rather small it packs a big punch in regards to power and portability. This galvo style laser has 2 types of laser built in. One is a 10w blue diode laser the other is a 2w ir laser. The ir laser us great for marking metals of all kinds. The blue laser has a wide range of useage. One if my favorite features is how it projects your project on the material for easy centering of your project. I have a short video added showing that. Another amazing thing about this machine is that its portable. The bottom plate is removable so you can pickup the machine and pretty much mark any flat surface. The f1 also has an indoor air purifier you can purchase if you can't get near a window, it does include a hose yo pipe out the fumes in the box, the machine has a built in exhaust fan. There is also a table extension you can purchase to enhance the workspace size. All in all this is an amazing little machine and i look forward to using it for a long time. ... show more
