  • Awesome scooter
Style: 2024 300P/Black - 900W/20MPH/30miles
I love this thing , it’s fast and sturdy. The brakes are great on this scooter and the brightness of the light is perfect. I really love that it has blinkers, so that cars know which way you’re turning. I would highly recommend for the price and quality.

  • Impressive scooter
Style: 2024 K2 Pro/Grey - 600W/17.4MPH/25miles
Review after 1 month: ---------------------------- So far, I feel the NIU Kqi2 Pro has been amazing, especially considering the price. After a full charge, you can ride 14 miles on top performance and an additional 3 miles conservatively. It rides at a top speed of 17mph, and smoothly due to the tubeless tires. Braking might feel rushed without a suspension, but the breaking becomes seamless if you set regenerative braking to full strength which brings me to my next point which is the App. I must say it's an extremely sophisticated App and the synchronization is seamless with the user having the ability to switch modes while on the drive. Things I wish were better: 1) I wish the top speed was at least 20mph. 17mph does seem slow for anything above a mile's ride. You can feel that the scooter can travel faster than its top speed limit but the US regulations restrict it from going any faster. 2) I wish there were indicators since it would have been considering you can't take your hand off the stick even for a sec, but well you can't have everything in one thing. Overall, I highly recommend this product without a tinge of doubt if your commute is around 2 miles one way. I will keep updating this review as time progresses. ... show more

  • Quality product
Style: 2024 100P/Grey - 600W/17.4MPH/18miles
Everything just works as advertised. I’m near the top of the allowed weight limit and this NIU KQi-100P scooter is very responsive. This was my introduction to e-scooters and I am very pleased with my purchase. I wanted the front suspension without spending a lot on a scooter. More expensive scooters can go slightly faster and have longer range batteries. This can go 17 mph and has an untested range of 18 miles. It was within the budget of what I wanted to spend on a scooter. The only con for me is that an app is required to set the “regenerative brakes” on the rear wheel. ... show more

  • Dangerously Defective and Disappointing After-Sales Support
Style: 2024 K3MAX/Grey - 900W/23.6MPH/40miles
As an owner of multiple electric scooter models and brands over the years, I was looking forward to my NIU KQi3 Max experience. Unfortunately, while my initial few months of ownership were very positive, the breakdown of key parts created an incredibly dangerous riding situation, leaving the scooter unridable, and the customer support received thus far has been disappointingly inadequate. The first three months of ownership were enjoyable, and after fixing an initial stem wobble with some Loctite, the KQi3 Max scores high marks for speed, acceleration, comfort, battery life, and design compared to other models in the price range. At the three-month mark of ownership, the throttle lever of my KQi3 Max became jammed in the 'on' position while riding. This malfunction resulted in an uncontrollable burst of acceleration that not only caused a minor accident, but it also shredded the rear tire — effectively rendering the scooter useless. Considering the high speeds this scooter is capable of, I consider myself lucky to have only sustained minor injuries. It could've ended significantly worse. Having faced problems with other brands in the past, I was aware that such issues can occur. What matters is how the company handles it. I promptly contacted NIU's support team to report this dangerous defect and was met with a sluggish, impersonal response. It took a week for them to finally get back to me with a ticket closure email, informing me that they are sending a replacement part for self-installation. My ticket ID, RMA BS230605-0002, apparently doesn't merit direct communication with a support team member or a conversation on an agreeable resolution. NIU's solution appears to be sending me an unidentified part with zero context or instructions for installation. Diagnosing the precise mechanical issue, determining the correct replacement part, and having the technical know-how to correctly install it should not be assumed as commonplace skills for all customers! Given the severity of the defect, a professional repair should at least have been initiated by NIU, or barring that, a complete unit replacement. The rear tire is connected to the motor, so it is possible not only the throttle but the propulsion system itself is compromised. There's a middling chance of me correctly identifying the severity of the issue and successfully fixing it myself, but the NIU team is just resorting to the cheapest and easiest option for them, not what will actually resolve the problem. How is an unidentified DIY part a good solution? It's disheartening and alarming how dismissive NIU has been regarding a defect that directly threatens user safety. In my extensive experience with electric scooters, I have never faced such a dangerous issue coupled with such a lackadaisical approach from the support team. In light of this, I cannot recommend the NIU KQi3 Max scooter or the company's support system. I will be happy to update my review if the support team is able to adequately address the mechanical issues, but at present, with numerous other reliable options available in the market, your safety and peace of mind deserve better. ... show more

  • Impressive
Style: 2024 100P/Grey - 600W/17.4MPH/18miles
The media could not be loaded. I've been riding scooters for two years in college, and recently my GoTrax GXL died, I had a rough time with support, wasting $200 on nonrefundable parts. As a broke student, I decided to try something new and got the NIU KQi 100P. Shipping took a week, and I’m impressed! The unboxing was great, and after setting it up, it rides smoothly. Though it tops out at 17 mph, the powerful torque handles hills and off-road terrain well. It's a bit big and heavy, but the weight adds to the smooth ride, especially with the suspension, and gives you enough foot room. The battery life is solid, lasting through 5-10 mile trips easily. And the added side reflectors, break lights and Bluetooth locking are great safety features. One thing I would change is the exposed wires which I feel like could be a breach in security. Other than that this scooter beats my Gotrax in every way at the same price. I definitely recommend for students. ... show more

  • Best budget scooter
Style: 2024 100P/Grey - 600W/17.4MPH/18miles
Positives: Great build quality, they put a lot of thought into where they could cut costs. Feels sturdy. The front suspension and pneumatic tires give great ride quality for the money. The lights and drum brake are good enough to be safe but nothing amazing. On sale for $100 off is basically unbeatable for what you get. Negatives: The angle and shape of the handlebar setup does reduce usable space on the platform. Battery life is the biggest disappointment. Started with 90% battery, went about 6miles and had 15% battery left. Don't expect to get more than 10 miles on a charge. ... show more
