  • For a GF flour it works pretty close to regular flour
Namaste GF flour has made a huge difference in my family. Several of us in the family need to be GF and it was difficult for this baking mama to give up her organic wheat flour. There were several difficulties in making a full switch from wheat flour to GF flour--price, taste, and the ingredients as I also needed to be potato and corn free. Namaste has solved all of these problems for me. The taste does take a little getting use to as has a stronger taste than wheat flour. The price is within budget for me, and not having potato and corn is wonderful beyond words as most GF flours have one or both of these. Though Namaste claims you can use this flour 1:1 like regular wheat flour, I have found that a 1:1 ratio leaves my baked goods dry and crumbly. For me a 2/3-3/4 cup Namaste flour to 1 Cup regular flour works well (depending on how much liquid the recipe calls for). I use this flour for baking cookies and brownies, pizza dough, pancakes and waffles, basically anything that calls for flour. I haven't made bread or tried sour dough with it yet, but probably will in the future as it has worked with everything else I've tried. ... show more

  • Great gf cooking substitute
I have tons of food allergy issues and this flour is a great addition/substitute for all my gf and special recipes. I generally do a straight substitution for whatever flour is called for....then, per cup, I use 3/4 of the nameste flour blend and 1/4 almond meal. If you only use the nameste blend, the rice flour makes the texture a little crunchy, but adding the almond, gives it a great “normal” texture. I also add 1 tsp of arrowroot powder per cup of flour called for in the recipe. I’ve been doing this for years and get compliments all the time that my stuff doesn’t have that typical gf baked goods taste/texture. Love my nameste flour! ... show more

  • Gluten free cookies
Gluten free (not by choice) and it's a journey that is certainly a challenge... so I've tried several brands to make gluten free cake, cookies, etc. I saw the negative reviews and I waited... I'm glad I decided to purchase this! I substituted it in my favorite cookie and cake recipes and I was really pleased with the results! I'm extremely sensitive btw and I didn't have any type of reaction. I think people think bc it's gluten free you can mix it more but to get that binding there is xantham gum in it, so I would treat it the same as regular flour and just fold into the recipes. ... show more

  • Awesome!
This is one of the best Gluten Free blends I have tried! It is not grainy like so many are and so far I have had people tell me that what I have baked with it is very good and they cannot tell it is gluten free. I can substitute cup for cup in recipes and the only thing I have had to change is the baking time. Always has to be at least five minutes and some times more to keep from having the slight doughy texture streaks you will get if you don't bake it longer than most normal recipes call for. Even using the toothpick test doesn't always give you a good test for doneness. Believe me, I was really getting discouraged while trying various mixes until I found this blend. Awesome! ... show more

  • Our favorite gluten free flour blend
I love this flour for baking gluten free cookies, biscotti, pancakes and biscuits. For some recipes I convert from standard flour, like my biscotti, I find adding an extra egg gives it a texture and taste almost the same as regular flour. The best I’ve used so far. Bread is still a challenge although I’ve discovered Brazilian cheese bread made only with tapioca flour and that’s our go-to bread at the moment. We used to buy this flour at Costco as well, but our local store seems to have stopped carrying it. ... show more

  • Best baking alternative
Very pleased with all of my bakes. I have made great shortcrusts, amazing cookies, and sweet pie crusts with no issues. Excellent and nobody can tell the difference. It’s free from allergens and I thinks the blend is better than more commercially available flours.

  • Excellent
I use this flour to make drop biscuits, chocolate chip cookies, pie crust for apple pie and chicken pot pie. It’s delicious and is one of the only flours my allergic daughter can have. I make my apple pie crust with coconut oil and it is delicious!!! The crusts don’t have the stretch of wheat flour crusts. I work around this by rolling it out on waxed paper. I then slide a large cookie sheet or cutting board under it. I place the pie plate upside down on the dough and flip it quickly. ... show more

  • Best gluten-free flour ever
This is the first gluten free flour in 9 years I found that is absolutely delicious and works great for everything! I am so grateful. My sister who does not need to be gluten free started buying it because it doesn't have those severe blood sugar spikes with it. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
