    • Good flour, current pricing (May 2020) is crazy, not worth it
I bought this when it as $9, before the ridiculous jump in prices that we're seeing now, so my comments are based on that pricing. This is a quality flour, but having made sourdough bread with this all purporse flour, with King Arthur bread flour, and with Gold Medal all purpose flour, my family and I can find no significant difference in texture or flavor or crust. Flour is pretty much flour, and despite all the hand-wringing about needing bread flour to make good bread, you can make great sourdough bread with just about any unbleached all-purpose flour. Do NOT pay the ridiculous prices being asked for this now, it is simply not worth it, no flour is worth it. ... show more

I first heard about Kings Arthur when I was looking for a bread recipe and found one their blog. I was pleasantly surprised to see it in the Lucky’s baking section. I picked it there and I have stuck to it ever since. Right off the bat, I noticed a good rise in the dough after bulk rise. I’ve used it ever since to make tin loafs, old fashioned rustic loaf, pav (dinner rolls), pizza, baguette, focaccia. All of them with excellent rise. I’ve even used it to feed my sourdough starter and it seems to love it. When I found this 10 lbs bag at a price cheaper than store and home delivery too! I was sold. The bag got delivered without any leaks. Now I just need to find a large enough container to store it. If there was a subscribe and save option with this, I’d buy it.     • Great flour at a great price
King Arthur makes the very best flour. I recently began baking my own bread out of frustration with bland bread from my local bakeries. King Arthur offers tried & true recipes that work every time. Their flour is superior and the Amazon price is more favorable than the company’s own web site (considering that Prime shipping is free). Be aware that 10 pounds is a pretty large quantity unless you plan on regular baking. ... show more

    • Flour Is Great, But Not All Over My Kitchen

AARRRRGGGGHHHH! Both bags arrived ripped, one completely across the entire bottom (sigh) seam - see pic. It's hard to know if this happened at King Arthur's facility or during the Amazon packing process. The outside shipping box was in perfect shape however (no dents), so it certainly did not happen in transit. So FedEx at least is blameless. Anyway, flour got all over the kitchen during the outer box opening process (anyone who has used flour knows exactly what I mean), and all of that had to be thrown away, along with the flour inside the bags that was anywhere near the tears and rips. I certainly hope someone at King Arthur or Amazon reads this and makes corrections in future shipments of the product to other buyers. I can't imagine ordering flour on-line again. ... show more

Flour arrived packaged very well. Each bag was sealed in a plastic bag to keep flour contained. There was no spillage anyway. Baked some cookies since we are stuck at home with the virus outbreak. We ordered 3 bags and are very happy to be able to bake.

I have been using King Arthur Flour for many years and love it. Amazon offer the best price for the 10ib bag. The second bag was a bit bruised but still in good condition. They could use more protection for mailing it though the box was in good condition.

We absolutely loooove King Arthur's All Purpose flour. It's funny we might think flour is just flour...but Oh no! Not every flour brand delivers on quality, taste, texture, etc. Over the years my husband tried many different brands of flour for his, Authentic Deep Fried Jamaican Fried Chicken. Just yummy and delicious! He has given King Arthur's All Purpose Flour a A++. The texture is not too sticky, when used to make dumplins it is firm, and delicious. It also doesn't leave any heavy excess fired dough batter when used to batter any fried delight. My husband also uses it for baking all of his many different types of cakes from, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lemon Cake, Jamaican Rum Cake, etc. Lol...yes the man is also an excellent baker. No, I'm not the baker, but I'm the chef! He always choses, and gives lavish reviews on how moist, and fluffy, King Auther's All Purpose Flour makes his cakes. Which explains why they never last! Please see images! If you care about the quality and taste of what you serve, or just want to a bang for your buck, this is the one. I purchased the 10lbs bag, came as described, bag was also placed in a clear plastic bag. I didn't get too much loose dust, thank God.
