Comfortable and decent size for me, though shows high back rated to 300 lbs which is what i bought and another shown as mid back which is rated to 250 lbs. Being on the larger size, i purchased the high back rated to 300, but the chair i received the manual says its just rated to 250 lbs. Whats odd is the deminsions on the pictures of both chairs are identical, so i can only assume the chair i received is really just rated to 250 lbs. Not sure how long it will last but the size and height just put together and not moved up or down is just right for me and its quite comfortable aftet sitting in it for several hours after it arrived and not hot like my old leather ..vinyl chair, so im happy! One thing i did NOT like, was the ring assembly for the legs, was just full of metal shavings that got all over my floor and myself. Not a fan of having to clean up what could be potentially very hazardous materials for people and pets...uggg... but overall im pleased. ... show more

For the most part, putting the chair together went exactly as the instructions. Except for 1 of the screws attaching the left arm to the seat. No matter how I tries, the screw would not screw into the hole. It was fine if I screwed it in without the arm piece. There were no issues with the screw itself. I swapped it with another screw. The problem was the depth of the predrilled hole. It started too deep in the seat. My husband can use the chair. It functions properly. But at some point, that arm may fall off since it's only held in with 1 screw, placing it slightly off balance. ... show more

    • Sturdy Chair That's super Comfy

This office chair has really made a difference in the time I spend at my desk. First of all, it's well-made and sturdy. It has a weight capacity of 250 lbs. It's made of mesh fabric which is very breathable. I love this because I find leather chairs to be too hot and sticky. If I want to wear shorts, this chair doesn't stick to the backs of my legs. Leather looks good but doesn't necessarily feel that great. I also love the adjustments on the chair. It's really handy to be able to flip the armrests up for those times when I need to move around a lot and when armrests would get in my way. The back support is top-notch. You can also adjust the tension of the tilt and you can lock it so it doesn't recline at all. This chair has helped my posture and the decreased the pain that I used to experience after sitting at my desk for too long. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness of this chair. The seat cushion is levels above my previous office chair. I'm happy with the fabric of this chair in contrast to the vinyl of my previous chair which began to strip away over time. My favorite feature is the lumbar support. As someone who suffers with periodic lower back issues, it's important that my chairs have sturdy back support. I was also impressed with the fact that both arms lift up which allows me to turn around in the seat. It helped that tools were provided but we still needed a drill to align one of the screws.     • My Wife Loves This Chair

My wife has a home office, and the desk chair she was using was on it's last leg, literally. So, when I saw this chair I decided to surprise her with a nice replacement. The chair arrived in good shape and all of the parts and hardware were present. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The chair is basically held together with socket head cap screws, and the manufacturer provides a t-handle allen type tool to tighten the screws. Assembly was easy and straight forward with one exception. The step where the seat is joined with the back and arms can be a little challenging simply because you have to handle both pieces (seat and back) to get the holes in the arms to line up properly with the seat to avoid stripping the screws (at this point the arms are already loosely connected with the back). The instructions suggest using the packing carton to steady the seat piece while lining up the back and arms. While this eventually worked, it still took some ceative balancing. I think that this one step would be easier for two people to perform with one holding the seat and the other supporting the back and lining up the holes. Other than that, if you have very basic mechanical/ tool skills you should have no problem with the assembly of the chair. Once assembled, I tested the raising and lowering lever and cylinder. Both worked as intended as did the tension adjustment to control the chair's ability to rock back. One feature that I found helpful was the lumbar support adjustment. This is a simple piece on the back of the chair that can be moved up and down. In the down position, the support is at the very lowest part of the back. In the up position, support is given to the lumbar area. This was great for my wife because she sometimes suffers from a sore lower back. The arms can also be raised in order to store the chair closer to the desk in order to minimize the floor space occupied when the chair is not in use. In sum, my wife loves the chair and says that it is very comfortable and she did not realize how uncomfortable the old one had gotten until she sat in this one. My final analysis is that this is a nice bargain level office chair. It is not on par with the big name chairs, but neither is the price. However, if you are looking for a no-frills office chair option that is both comfortable and affordable, this chair will definitely fit the bill. ... show more

We live in the deep south where the summers are hot, humid and long. Long days at your desk are even harder in those conditions. This mesh back chair is perfect for that. Mesh lets the air circulate through and is much cooler all day. The thickly padded seat adds to the comfort, as does the adjustable height back with excellent lumbar support. The overall height of the chair is adjustable too so whether you have long or short legs you can get the right fit. Flip up arms are great for the times when chair arms aren't needed. You don’t have to remove them, just flip them up and out of the way. This chair also has a nice tilt function.
