Description

The Micro Mini Kickboard is the highest rated scooter for children aged 2-5. Your child will love "surfing the sidewalk" on their Micro Mini, and you will love the years of fun and exercise it provides. The Mini is one of the best value present you will buy your child. The smooth gliding Micro Mini's 3 wheels, low-to-the-ground deck and safe steering all contribute to stability that makes the Mini perfect for pre-schoolers and kindergartners. What makes the Mini unique and fun is the lean-to-steer design; children steer by using their body weight to lean right and left, intuitively learning to lean into a turn, while developing balance and coordination used in many sports. The Micro Mini has the smoothest, quietest ride available thanks to high quality wheels and a flexible fiberglass reinforced deck, which together absorb bumps in the sidewalk. Please note, the maximum load for Micro Mini scooters recently increased to 50kg or 110lbs, from 44 lbs, following as a result of updated testing. The super strong Mini was tested for a higher maximum load and tests showed a new higher rating on all the Micro Mini styles. However, some packaging/products have not been updated yet to reflect the new, higher weight limit. SAFETY - For best protection, we strongly recommend that children wear helmets and knee pads when riding. Non marking wheels allow children to learn to scoot in the safety of your home.

  • Perfect for my 2 year old
Color: Blue
***Update*** We've had this about 5 months and it is my sons absolute favorite thing. The reason I'm updating my review is because I have never worked with such a great company. I accidently hit my sons scooter with my car. It was a stupid mistake and I was very upset. We're trying to save money and I didn't know how I could buy him another one. I decided to look up the company's website and they acutally work incredibly well with mistakes like this. They sent me the parts I needed to fix the one he has. They responded extremly fast especially due to their offices having to close due to "sever weather". I also noticed while I was disassempling it that it is incredibly well made! I am very impressed with this company and I will be buying all my scooters here. I got this for my son's 2nd birthday, and I am super happy with it. The only thing bad I have to say is that he likes it too much. I literally can't do anything other than watch him on his scooter. He rides his friends scooter sometimes and that one just isn't the same quality. It is stiff and hard to steer. This one has an easy lean and steer feature that I think he will get much quicker. My sister's son gave up on a regular scooter because it was too hard to ride, and I'm thinking this one is going to work perfectly. Worth the extra $ ... show more

  • Comment contains actual child and MM Kick Scooter measurements for all parents wondering if this scooter will fit your child
Color: Blue
I bought two of these scooters for my boy/girl twins' 3rd birthday. I had never heard of these scooters before until reading the Top (energy-expending) Toys of 2015 article on social media; see http://www.modernparentsmessykids.com/gift-guide-2013-best-toys-for-keeping-kids-active-indoors-out. The scooters arrived in great condition, very well packaged. Assembly took less than 10 seconds....literally. I might not be able to make toast without burning it, but I successfully put together this two-piece, one-assembly-manuever all by myself! Please hold your applause!! My 3-year old son's measurements: Height: 38" (inches) Weight: 36 lbs (pounds) Shoe Size: 8.5 XW (toddler sizes) My 3 year-old daughter's measurements: Height: 39" (inches) Weight: 38.4 lbs (pounds) Shoe Size: 8.5 W (toddler sizes) These scooters are very well made. They are not flimsy, like most other character-patented, razor or radio flyer scooters. The construction is very durable, as well as the mechanics of the scooter itself. What attracted me most to this scooter was the foot-board. Across it is 4.25" and lengthwise it is almost 11.75". Compared to the Radio Flyers version of the toddler scooter, it tips very easily because the foot-board is extremely wide, at almost 5". From tip to tip, the handlebars are 10.25" across, and provide very easy steering. The braking on the scooter is very steady, rather than choppy or non-existent. My twins have scootered (it's now a word) through water without issue or fall to the scooter or themselves. There is no slippage from the wheels. They have used this scooter almost every single day since their birthday party in mid-July, sometimes twice a day. I did debate on whether or not to get the Micro Mini or the Micro, but opted for the Mini only because of price and uncertainty if this would be something they would actually enjoy or just get pushed to the back of the garage. **Helmets are from Joovy JOOVY Noodle Helmet, Red ... show more

  • Dangerous
At first it seemed like a pretty decent scooter. That’s until we recently took it out on the regular block (not just an area with a smoothie surface) and the moment my 4 year old came to a part of the sidewalk that was somewhat lifted, it stopped him short and he almost went flying over the handlebars. This happened twice. The first time he was going extremely slow. I thought since he is still learning, maybe he just wasn’t going fast enough to clear the little lift I. The sidewalk. Well.., the next time we came to another part of the sidewalk that was slightly lifted, I told him to go faster and I even held the handlebar and helped make sure he stayed steady. Same thing. Scooter stopped short. Fortunately I was there to make sure he did not go flying over. This is definitely not worth it. It’s not like we are in rough terrain here. Besides, it is light which may be good for transporting, but also not sturdy. And the mean to turn feature is difficult for young children. ... show more

  • Perfect for a Toddler
Color: Blue
We bought this for our son who is a little older than 2 1/2. As for the product - top notch quality. The wheels spin freely, and the scooter performs well on concrete and asphalt. I'm 6'2 and 225 pounds and I have stood on the scooter for a few kicks (you could tell the scooter was screaming for mercy) but it definitely held up. Initially we were concerned that our son would have trouble kicking it in the cul-de-sac with all of the older kids who have scooters, but after a day of playing with the Micro Mini inside on the carpet, he is scooting his way all over the place. Great product, can't recommend it more highly. P.S. Do yourself a favor and get a helmet, knee pads, and shoulder pads...without those, I think my review would have been titled "Great and Fast Way to Head to the Emergency Room" ... show more

  • 5 stars well-deserved! Got it age 2, still riding three years later!
Color: Blue
The five-star rating is well-deserved. I bought this for my son for his second birthday. He learned to ride it easily (he was a bit ahead of the curve physically), and was zooming around on it after two weeks. That was three years ago. He still loves it, and we use it for family walks in the city. I broke it down and easily packed it for a trip to Portland, and it allowed us to explore more readily on foot during our vacation. It effectively spans the gap between stroller and doing longer walks on foot. Cuts down whining ("Mommy, carry me!"), increases speed and mobility for family outings. Plus it takes up less space in restaurants than a stroller, and doesn't have to be locked up outside like a bike. He's learning to ride his bike now, but the stroller is still his go-to wheels. He's also pretty rough on this thing, and it's weathered everything with no breaks. Can't say enough good things about this awesome product. Get a helmet with it just in case. ... show more
