It is so comfy to sit in and it oddly does make you sit straight and helps my back problems. You do “break in” to the cushions but it is kinda comfy with it like that. I bought this chair due to back and hip pain that wouldn't go away. It took about 2 weeks for my body to adjust to the chair. I found the knee cushion is not soft enough and had to use a folded blanket on top of it for extra cushioning. My shins and knees often hurt from it, but it has gotten better over time. I think the ability to adjust this chair was really important. I wouldn't buy one that cannot adjust. The small adjustments on this chair make a huge difference. I do use the chair backwards as well and my back and hips have been fine with it. I still hunch over a lot in the chair, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are buying it to fix your posture. One thing I think is really important is that I have a sitting-standing desk so I am able to adjust the height of my desk. I have to sit with the desk several inches higher than when I used my office chair. I'm not sure this is a good option if you cannot adjust your desk height. I like this chair - it's much better for my back than a normal office chair. It is also very easy to assemble. However, a couple of things to note: 1. It takes a while to get used to. My knees and shins hurt so much the first week, but now I never notice. Definitely an adjustment period. 2. I REALLY wish the padding was a bit more supportive and soft. My butt definitely starts to hurt after a while because the seat is not cushy enough. ... show more

I mostly love this kneeling chair. I’m 5’9 but found the small setting to be best for my body. Pretty cool you can adjust that. When using it I feel my back is forced to be straight, which is awesome, especially when paired with a monitor setup at the right height. However some of my friends didn’t like using it as it’s a little tiring to be in good posture for an extended period, so maybe not for everybody. The one thing I don’t like is that if I move my butt, the chair wiggles from side to side. There is not enough support so the wood flexes. Usually not a big deal as I’m not moving that much while seated, but less chair movement would definitely make me feel a little more grounded. ... show more

I love this chair. it is sleek and stylish. It was easy to put together. My knees get a little sore after about an hour, but that's a good cue to get up and stretch. I'm 5' 9" and about 200lbs and I will say I wouldn't want to use this chair if I were any bigger. It kind of "sways" from side to side, which is fine, but I get the feeling it would break down over time with more weight. Or just not feel supportive enough! I work at a desk all day and have been having hip pain for years. I was sitting in a standard desk but expensive chair that I bought from a local office supply store. I had been eyeing this style chair for a long time and finally decided to give it a try. It is taking some adjusting to but almost immediately made my hip pain better day one. My lower back is still adjusting to the sitting positing but now that I can walk comfortably again I am willing to take the time to get used to this new chair. I've had this for few days and I'm new person at work. I'm a 37yr old male, 6'0, 210lb and have had clinical ADHD since I was child. The rocking feature of this chair has been a great sensory outlet for me to satiate my constant need to move. I've been more productive while at my desk the last several days and I've felt less prone to distraction. It's hard to describe, but the rocker is helping to fulfill that need for me. That said, you gotta' find your sitting position and/or be ready to move the included adjusters to find your sweet spot or your can find butt/shins in pain. Once I figured out my adjustment angels and how to sit, I no longer feel pain or soreness. I've found that putting my knees into the cushion and my feet on top of the each of the wooden floor rockers is best since this takes pressure off my shins and distributes the load away from my bone-y buttocks. I will say that I feel a little more tired at the end of work, but I'm certain that's because my body is working more to keep up my posture, etc. I don't see this as a negative.
