Just what I wanted. I live in an RV so small is good!!! It does take quite a bit to fill entirely. But then I am mostly doing herbs from my garden. I have a larger food dryer, but it is plastic, and is becoming more and more deformed with use so I was looking for something to replace it with. This is not very warm when it is operating which is another nice feature. I did not give it 5 stars because it is a bit complicated to use. I have still not mastered it.     • Nice small dehydrator
Was looking for a smaller dehydrator to not take up too much storage space and also fit in as a budget purpose. This definitely fills though needs. The metal racks is a big plus in my book as it helps avoid putting food directly on heated plastic for hours. The tempature adjustment moves at odd intervals. Instead of even 10s or 5s, it steps in odd ways like 131 degrees instead of 130. Not a major issue, but just a bit odd. You also have to unplug it then plug it back in if you want to start another batch after the timer goes off. So some fine-tuning of the chip's settings could be done by the manufacturer. I've primarily made jerky in this so far. Made one batch of banana chips as well. Works well, easy to use, and does the job. A fire and forget item. Wish you could set the heat manually by degree through. The heat settings are preset from the factory.

This will dehydrate fruit very quickly! I put it on for 3 hours for pineapple and halfway thru it was almost done! Love this and plan to use it for a lot of things!

    • Good dehydrator for the price
I like the dehydrator. I use it to make apple chips. I would run the dehydrator empty a few times and wash the screen tray each time before using it(not just once as the manual suggested). The plastic order took a few times before going away. Also the stacks of tray do not dry evenly. The top tray and bottom 2 trays dry pretty well and faster than the 3rd and 4th tray. I just switch them up with the bottom 2 strays at the half time point like baking cookies. That takes care of the drying inconsistency. For the price, it’s a good dehydrator. It’s quieter and takes shorter time to dry the apple slices than my previous dehydrator. ... show more

It’s smaller than I expected but I also like that it doesn’t take up much space. I’ve tried herbs & fruit so far. The results are close to store bought dried fruits. Easy to use, set timer and temps. Has low sound. The trays are easy to wash. Easy cleanup. I like and Im still learning.

bought to dehydrate orange slices and it worked like a charm. It's a little bitty unit so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. The trays are easy to clean, I put them in the top rack of the dishwasher. I rotated them during the drying cycle - not sure if it was necessary, but did it anyways. I didn’t even unpack this thing all the way before I send it back it is ridiculously tiny the photos where is showing three slices of Applewhite on the trays is BS and he must’ve been using extra tiny fruits for the photos because you can’t even fit four slices on their.
