Got this for my wife for Christmas. She loves it and so do I. I didn't realize how heavy it was with the enameled iron. It's really easy to clean too. We made beef bourguignon right out of the gate and it was tender, juicy and very flavorful. The Dutch Oven really holds the heat. I recommend the 7.25 quart as some other reviewers have pointed out that the larger one can hold everything you need, and you will not run out of space. Overall highly recommend -- it's expensive but the heaviness, quality, enameled finish (easy cleaning), and the ability retain so much heat (allowing for cooking on lower temps) just sets this apart. Le Creuset round dutch ovens are gorgeous and very useful. We have a 5.5qt pot that we use all the time, and we would give it 5 star rating. However, we have to dock a star for the 3.5qt. It is confusing, as the pot comes in different dimensions for this capacity. We ordered a 3.5qt (vendor is Sky Products), using this product link. A 3.5qt of a different dimension (wider and shallower) was delivered instead. We have sent it back and are still waiting for a full refund. Beware when purchasing this pot, and double check the dimension when you receive it. ... show more

This Dutch oven is the best! The versitility of this Dutch oven is unmatched! The finish is such high quality and cleans so easily! My tip to you for cleaning, if you get discoloration from cooking that doesn't seem to come off with normal washing, just simply add water and baking soda to the Dutch oven and boil while gently scraping the stains with a wooden spoon!
