No issues, decent metal. Holds Mr. Cool unit with no concerns. Comes with large lag bolts. I wish it had slightly smaller lags. Going into a 2x4 is a little much, pre drill the holes. But overall no complaints. Worth not having to fabricate, and it's better than sitting unit at ground level. Helps keep lawn clippings out of fan. ... show more

    • Great mount but requires some work

This is a great mount and so far is holding my 18k MrCool condenser perfectly. Due to it being only 30” wide, only the middle 2 bolts can attach to typical 16” stud placements. I do not recommend using the included anchors. With how heavy this condenser is, and the value of it, all 4 bolts should really be in wood. I’m mounting to stucco, so the anchors wouldn’t have done much anyway. I added some cross studs for the 2 outer bolts, which was a pain as I had to cut into my drywall to do so. If you’re mounting inside an unfinished garage or wall, then that step is a little easier. If this had only been 32” wide you could have probably gotten away with mounting 3 bolts to the studs and a 4th for security somewhere, but alas. Locally, similar to these for mini split systems, cost much more. These are sturdy, and will easily hold up to an 18K outdoor unit (that is the largest that I have used these on, so they may go larger?????). Easy to install.

I was concerned this wouldn’t be strong enough to hold a 135lb mini split outside unit. It worked great though. Made sure framing could support it. Hardest part was living unit up to it.

Lots of other brackets looked really flimsy. This is pretty decently beefed up. Nice heavy metal and I certainly have no concerns of my unit falling. Easy to install and keeps the mini split off the ground! Came with everything to install but I did use different concrete anchors.

These are what you would expect for the low price. They do work fairly well for mounting an outside mini-split unit, but have a couple of issues to consider: 1. The built in level is a great idea, but it was obviously out of level when I used it to mount the bracket. Luckily I noticed before drilling the second hole and got my level to check it with. As you can see in the photo, it's not just a little bit off. So in the end, the built in level does more harm than good. They may not allow have this problem, but just know that you will need to use your own level to be sure. 2. Does not quite provide the recommended 12" back clearance between the unit and the wall for good air flow. I mounted it as far forward as I could and have 10" of clearance. This is a small 12K BTU unit, so it is a best case. Larger units will have less clearance. Other than that, it's pretty decent. Once the legs of the AC units are bolted down with the included bolts, it's fairly rigid and secure. I won't worry about it wobbling or sagging. ... show more
